• Safety Nets For Softball

  Once again, thank you so much to Donorschoose and our many supporters for fully funding this project. Funds are often limited and our school relies on help from donors and the donorschoose community. Without them, our program would not thrive as well as it has been doing.

  The Powernets funded assisted in keeping my students safe while practicing or playing in a confined space. These nets helped create stations where students worked together in a safe manner.

• Everything Physical Education!

  Once again, donorschoose has been instrumental in providing materials for my students to enrich their Physical Education learning experience. My students were familiar with the game "Jenga" but never did they imagine that there was a giant sized version of the game. I was able to infuse this game into my team challenges unit to make it the most exciting lesson possible!

  Students had so much fun working together with the team transport activity! They all agreed that such activities were different and exciting!

• Getting Loud for Physical Education!

  Thank you donorschoose and all supporters of this awesome project! The speaker has been absolutely amazing to have during my Physical Education classes. Not only is it extremely loud and clear, unbeknownst to me, the speaker actually has multiple color displays including FIRE that grows! My students were so amazed with this awesome display and saying, "Your speaker is on FIRE!!"

  This speaker has definitely helped me communicate with large classes in an environment that is usually very loud during play and excitement. My new "Family Feud" challenge unit has been a huge hit among my classes thanks to this speaker.

• Official 95 Storm Softball Uniform Hoodie

  Recognized by Ellen Degeneres on her show and by the NY Yankees, my softball program strives to provide young girls from the inner city the opportunity to be successful. That takes a lot of funding and support. Thank you so Donorschoose and their supporters as well as Wieden + Kennedy for supplying my girls with these awesome hoodies! My softball daughters were so thrilled to start wearing their official team hoodie and show off their "swag" throughout their middle school.

  Wearing identical uniforms creates a sense of equality, which is important when you are trying to win as a group. No individual is more important than any other, and that is what teamwork is all about.”

• Training Softballs

  Donorschoose and their supporters have once again came through for my girls! Girls were so excited to start practicingI There training softballs came just in time for our softball season which is currently underway.

  Training softballs help build confidence for girls who are beginners and haven't quite mastered the throwing and catching skills. As opposed to the official softball which is much harder, training softballs have a soft touch and grip which makes it easier for girls to catch and throw without fear of getting injured.

• 95 Storm Softball Uniforms

  Once again Donorschoose supporters have come through for my girls! The 95 Storm were all so very excited to receive their new uniforms just in time for their softball season which is underway.

  As you know, uniforms foster a sense of unity and family, not to mention, they look awesome on the field! My girls won their first game with their new uniforms! We are hoping to continue that momentum.

• 95 Storm Young Catchers

  Thank you so much once again for your continued support of my girls' softball program. I strive to create players that are awesome on the field as well as in the classroom.

  The funds donated helped give my young catchers that opportunity to train in gear that fits them. I have already seen such a great increase in their skills and self esteem. They are also other girls that are not interested in becoming a catcher as well.

• 95 Storm Safe Softball

  Thank you once again for Donorschoose for providing this funding platform which has been a vital component of softball program. Even before COVID, getting funding for girls' sports was extremely difficult. But Donorshoose has made it possible to have the 95 storm.

  I was hoping that we wouldn't have to use the first aid kit that was funded but thankfully I had one! The icepacks came in handy today when one of our girls hurt her hand while catching. This safety kit is definitely something our team needed! Thank you once again.”

  Thank you once again for Donorschoose for providing this funding platform which has been a vital component of softball program. Even before COVID, getting funding for girls' sports was extremely difficult. But Donorshoose has made it possible to have the 95 storm.

  The catchers on the 95 Storm were thrilled to open the box to their new gear! They will now do everything at practice while wearing their gear which includes running. This will help build their stamina since being a catcher is physically demanding. Thank you so much once again.”

  Thank you once again for Donorschoose for providing this funding platform which has been a vital component of softball program. Even before COVID, getting funding for girls' sports was extremely difficult. But Donorshoose has made it possible to have the 95 storm.

  The girls were so excited to see the pitching machine up and running! "It's just like if the batting cages has come to us!", one girl stated. The pitching machine was a hit (no pun intended) as the girls all lined up to take a couple of swings. This machine will definitely make a difference for our upcoming season.”
