Helping the Tennis Team
Funded Aug 20, 2024I can't thank you enough for your incredible generosity in donating a tennis ball machine, ball holder, serving machine, and tennis balls to our program. These new resources have already made a significant difference in our practice sessions and the overall development of our players, and we're truly grateful for your support.
Since receiving the equipment, we've been using it during every practice to improve our students' skills in a variety of ways. For example, the tennis ball machine has allowed us to set up consistent drills that focus on different aspects of the game, from forehand and backhand strokes to volleying and movement. One of the standout moments was when our players used the ball machine during a drill designed to improve consistency. The ability to have a constant stream of balls allowed them to focus on their form and make quick adjustments, and it was exciting to see them improve in real-time.
When my students first saw the new equipment, their reactions were priceless! They were absolutely thrilled. They immediately wanted to get on the court and start using the machines. I saw smiles and excitement as they realized how much these new tools would help them. It gave them a new sense of motivation and energy for their practices, and it has been wonderful to witness that transformation.
Looking ahead, we have big plans for the upcoming weeks. We're currently working on improving our team's serving game, and the serving machine has been a huge asset. We'll continue to use it to help students practice their serves with repeatable consistency and refine their technique. The next steps involve integrating the equipment into team drills where we'll simulate match conditions. Our goal is to use the equipment to build confidence, enhance skills, and ultimately improve performance during our upcoming matches and tournaments.
Thank you again for making all of this possible. Your support has had a lasting impact on my students, and we're excited to continue developing our skills with these amazing new resources.”

Funded Jan 7, 2025I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of AirPods to our biology classroom. Your support has had an immediate and positive impact on how my students engage with their lessons, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness.
Since receiving the AirPods, my students have been using them in various ways to enhance their understanding of biological concepts. For instance, they've been able to listen to educational podcasts, scientific audio articles, and virtual field trips that bring topics like ecosystems, genetics, and human anatomy to life in a way that textbooks alone can't. The ability to listen to these resources without distractions has allowed my students to dive deeper into the material, making complex biological concepts more accessible and engaging.
When my students first saw the AirPods, their excitement was palpable! They immediately recognized how these tools could help them in their studies, especially during lab activities and independent research. It's been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they've used the AirPods for focused learning and collaborative work.
One memorable moment was when a group of students used the AirPods during a lesson on cell biology. They listened to an audio guide that explained the steps of mitosis and meiosis, and then they were able to work together to create a detailed, interactive model of the processes. This hands-on approach, combined with the auditory support, helped the students better grasp the material and engage in the learning process.
Looking ahead, we plan to use the AirPods in our upcoming unit on ecology. The students will be listening to recorded interviews with ecologists, virtual tours of different ecosystems, and podcast episodes on climate change and conservation efforts. These resources will support their research projects and help them gain a broader perspective on how biology connects to real-world issues.
Thank you again for your generosity. Your contribution is helping to make biology come alive for my students, and I'm excited to see how they continue to thrive with these new tools at their fingertips.”

Games Help Us Memorize!
Funded Dec 3, 2024I want to take a moment to thank you for your incredible generosity in supporting our classroom games project. Your donation has provided us with resources that have already had a huge impact on our students' learning experiences.
Since receiving the materials, we've been using the new games during our lessons to reinforce key concepts in a hands-on and engaging way. One specific project that stands out is a math strategy game that helped my students better understand multiplication and division. The game encouraged them to work together, solve problems, and think critically, all while having a blast. It was amazing to see them so excited and eager to collaborate!
When my students first saw the new resources, their reactions were priceless. They couldn't wait to dive into the games, and I could see the spark in their eyes as they realized how much fun they could have while learning. It was a moment of pure joy, and I'm grateful to you for making that possible.
Looking ahead, the next steps for our class include continuing to integrate these games into our curriculum. For example, we're about to start a science project that will involve a series of challenges related to ecosystems. I plan to use some of the interactive games to reinforce the concepts in a way that's both educational and enjoyable. The games will allow students to explore and experiment in a way that brings abstract concepts to life, making learning both effective and exciting.
Thank you again for your incredible support. Your contribution is truly making a difference in my students' education, and I can't wait to see how these resources continue to inspire and enrich their learning journey.”

Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you again for donating to this project. My students were so happy to see all of their drinks and snacks come in the classroom. I have implemented a punch card system so my students can only receive snacks if there are proficient on the exit tickets at the end of each class period. This helps to keep my kids eager to learn the material in class everyday. I am so appreciative of DonorsChoose and all the support that it gives to not only my classroom, but all the classrooms like mine around the world.”

Funded Feb 9, 2024Thank you so much for all of our new classroom snacks. My students were so excited to receive them. I teach a state tested class and our 3rd benchmark is quickly approaching. To get them prepared, I plan on making small snack bags to motivate the students to make proficient on the rest of their exams. We will start boot camp the week after spring break, so in order to receive a treat bag you have to make at least 60% on the end of the week quizzes. I am 100% that this technique will help increase my proficiency level with my students. If you would like to keep supporting my students, please donate to the project that I have posted titled "Basic Supplies needed for this year and next"”

Funded Aug 25, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my project. Because of you, my students have small books to help them learn their biology 1 material. These books have mini quizzes embedded in them, and on Fridays we use them to quiz ourselves on what we learned during the week. They also have pneumonic phrases in them, which help students remember information on test day. These biology books have worked so well in my classroom, that my co-teacher has decided to get some for her students. My proficient and advanced students often ask to take the books home over night or during the weekend and use them to study.”

Funded Mar 26, 2023My tennis players were so excited to receive all of their new tennis equipment. Our season has not begun yet but I was able to show them everything we have so far. We can not wait until practice begins so we can put our new tennis ball machine to use. I think that is the thing they are most excited about. We are playing district and state level matches this year so I am almost certain that this equipment will come in handy. Thank you so much for helping me make sure my players are ready to compete with other teams not only in our area but in the rest of the state as well.”

Funded Feb 11, 2023My cheerleaders were to excited to receive our new stunt equipment. We were able to learn new stunt techniques without putting our flyers in the air. My bases are able to safely learn hand placements without putting anyone else in danger. I also use these material with my middle school cheer team. They are inexperienced and have to start from the basics when it comes to stunting. The next steps for our varsity team and for our jv team is to get more stunt material for our flyers so that they are able to also learn new stunts.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023These new resources have improved my classroom tremendously. My students love all of the color and information that are on our classroom walls. When they first saw the materials they were excited and eager to learn the material. The design of the classroom can make the learning process more interesting both for students and teachers. I am able to refer to the images or things drawn on the walls and explain the topics to students. It becomes easier for them to learn and for me, the teacher, to move to the next topic.”
