  • Series Books for Students

    Funded May 7, 2019

As we are rounding the corner for the end of the school year it is imperative that students remain engaged. These new books have captured the students attention and have encouraged them to continue to read. I can not thank you enough for your generous donation to help support my students.

Since the arrival of these series, students have been reading and talking about books with a partner. They are super excited to see what will happen next with their characters.

These books will continue to benefit future classes.”

  • Clean Uniforms

    Funded Apr 9, 2019

Thank you so much for your donation towards this project. Every student desires to be able to wear clean clothes daily. The uniforms that you so generously donated have started a clothing closet for the school. The students that will used these clothes are so lucky to have someone like you to care about them as a whole person. Students are allowed to take those clothes without worry of returning them and have a fresh uniform to wear for the day. When given a clean uniform words alone does not express how their esteem level rises. They have an immediate feeling of love and one less worry.

  • Level Up: Reading

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

As we approach the last quarter it is often difficult to push those higher readers to go beyond and expand their learning. This high-interest books have ignited a new passion for reading. I have been able to watch the students engage more in their independent reading time. Often discussing with their classmates about the book they are currently reading and ready to trade off for a new book.

Truly it was a wonderful experience for the students to open the packages of books your purchased for them. They were thrilled to see the new titles and eager to begin reading.

I can not thank you enough for investing in my students. Providing them with books that have grabbed their attention and made the excited to read.”

  • Meeting Basic Student Needs

    Funded Feb 27, 2019

With the most sincere gratitude I thank you for providing my students these basic essentials. Often times we overlook some acts of kindness that has the most impact. Your generosity is not overlooked. My students were thrilled to be the recipients of a take home care pack. This act of kindness showed them that others care for their well-being in a major way.

Upon seeing their care package on top of their desk students were excited. They began smelling the different soaps and deodorant. Excited to take the supplies home and put them to use. For many, this will allow them the opportunity to practice the self-care skills being taught at home. Being able to come to school fresh will increase self-esteem and allow students to focus more on their academics.

Again, I thank you for investing in the lives of the students in my class.”

  • A Clean Learning Environment

    Funded Feb 12, 2019

"Mrs. Williams, it smell so good in here". This statement would have never left the mouth of students had it not been for the generosity you displayed. I am so happy to be able to provide the students with a clean learning space. Several times a week, I have been vacuuming our classroom rugs. This allows for the picking of debris that comes from their daily movement. We have initiated "clean it Fridays". On this day as a class we spend a few minutes at the end of the day using the Clorox wipes to clean off desk, tables, chairs, and other frequently touched spots.

I have already begun to noticed how a cleaner environment has had a positive impact on students. Despite this cold and flu season, student attendance had been regular. This will also impact their academics. Students are in class and able to get consistent instruction.

Thank you for investing in the lives of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

    Funded Nov 26, 2018

My students and I are beyond grateful for your generosity. As we have embarked on this school year being prepared and organized was made possible with the material you provided. The pencil sharpener has been such a great asset to our classroom. Students use it daily to keep their pencils ready for school and home task.

Our colorful hall passes allow students to be clearly identified by administrators as students in my class and the location in which they are going.

Lastly was we complete projects I am so pleased that all students are well equipped with glue sticks. You have truly set us up for a successful school year.

Thank you so much for investing in my students.”

  • Bundle up for Winter

    Funded Dec 10, 2018

Winter is here and thanks to you so is warm gear. Today students left for winter break with hats, gloves, and socks. These items were great gift for students. When they opened their gift bags they were thrilled to see and share with one another the items they received. Many of the girls made plans on which day they would wear their new animal socks. One students gave me a huge hug saying, "thank you, these will keep my hands warm at the bus". Knowing the cold weather ahead, it warms my heart to know that my students have been care for so deeply.

I look forward to students being able to use the warming clothing throughout the remainder of the cold season.

    Again, I thank you!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Starting off with a Good Mindset

    Funded Oct 25, 2018

Again, I thank you for your donations to help fund this meaningful project. We have begun the school year but these gentle reminders have been great visuals for students. As students are being given new challenges daily, the bulletin board set provides them an alternative to negative thinking. Upon seeing the growth mindset read aloud book students became very excited. Eager to hear and rehear the stories. These also serve as great reminders to students that they too can be like the characters in the book. We all will be face with obstacles that seem too hard, it is our mindset, the way we approach these obstacles to shows growth and progress.”

I am a 3rd grade teacher who loves to inspire children. My classroom is lively and engaging. My mission is to positive impact the lives of students and their families. My goal is to empower students with the feeling of possibility. I want them to walk away knowing that someone cares for them and believes in their ability. My purpose is to be their champion, rooting and cheering for them. Being their advocate in and out the classroom. In Title I schools many children come from low income/poverty stricken homes. My school has a high population of ELLs and often have little to no exposure to the activities and resources I want for them. I, like hundreds of other teachers around the country, want to give each of my students the tools they need to succeed and that includes a knowledgeable teacher. Help me be the best teacher I can be. Thank you for making an investment into the lives of my students.
