  • Turn Up the Volume!

    Funded Dec 5, 2019

I can not thank you enough for your donation. This has had a positive impact in our classroom. Students are now able to focus on their own Chromebook activities without being distracted by the sound of others activity. The headphones are a great asset, students were so excited to see the pink and blue headphones come to their desk. The style is foldable which allows students to easily store and access the headphones inside their seat pouch.

So long to the days where the productive sound of another peers Chromebook will hinder their own productivity.”

  • Small Group Needs

    Funded Dec 5, 2019

Thank you so much for your support in classroom. The students and I were so excited to receive the book baggies and mobile whiteboard. These items have been an assets to the classroom small group instruction.

Students are able to use the bag to hold all of their group contents. No longer do they need to use paper 2-pocket folders that easily deteriorate and have to be replaced monthly.

As for the mobile whiteboard we are obsessed. That board had made small group teaching learning much easier. Not only are we able to write and post anchor chart, we are able to use magnetic math manipulatives to help deliver the lessons.

I thank you so much for the investment you have place on my students.”

  • Graffiti the Wall With Positivity

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

I am so grateful for the ability to make things personal for students. Students are always thrilled to see a new creation made specifically for them. This has allowed students to feel more connected to our learning environment. This connection encourages student take ownership of the space they enter daily. Often times students feel like the classroom belongs to the adults. The use of the various colored vinyl allows students to see that not only do they belong in the school but that the space is equally shared by all who walk through the doors.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Meeting the Basic Needs of Students

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

It's always great to connect students learning with something tangible they can take home and put to direct use. As students discuss their personal health during counseling lessons personal hygiene is a very important portion of this lesson.

Students were thrilled to see the various packages arrive to the classroom. Sorting them into personal bags for take home use was another added bonus.

The deodorant, soap, washcloths, toothpaste, and floss sticks are all great additions to help boost students self-esteem and overall school performance.”

  • 3rd Grade Is Moving...to Trailers

    Funded Aug 20, 2019

There is no place like home and the students were able to walk right into a welcoming classroom environment. Each component has added value to our classroom. When student walk in, there is a mat welcoming them to our classroom. Fresh scents tickle their nose to a clean fresh day.

As students are working throughout the day they have encouraging message pillows to look at or take to a place to use throughout the room. Pencils remain on their desk sharpened and ready thanks to the new pencil sharpener and pencil desk holder.

This has helped turned our trailer into a welcoming learning environment. Students are excited to come to school and spend time in our cottage of love.”

  • Keeping It All Together

    Funded Jun 16, 2019

I can not thank you enough for providing students with a class mailbox system. Already students have been taking ownership of their work. Making sure that they are collecting materials from their mailboxes weekly. The mailboxes have helped to make sure that students have a centralized location to pick up their materials. It helps to reduce wasted instructional time calling students names to collect various materials.

Several students have the classroom job as mailbox monitor. They hold their classmates accountable for collecting their material to take home to parents.

Thank you for making student more independent.”

  • Keeping on Task!

    Funded Aug 7, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donation. As the students and I have begun the new curriculum for the district the timers and displays have been so important during our All Block time. Students are able to set the timers and keep track of their task. This is helping students to be more accountable of their learning. I have seen several student hold their peers accountable; "...look at the timer"..."we don't have much time left. Students are aware of the time and make great efforts to get their task completed before the timer beeps. I believe that this is making students more responsible and will help them with their time management and study skills.”

  • Stand-Up Desk?!

    Funded May 11, 2019

Thank you so much for generously giving to the students in my classroom. I am thrilled to have the stand-up for students use. Over the past few weeks, students have been using the desk to share their work with their classmates. Students stand proud before the room using the desk as a platform to showcase their work on the board. I can already see their confidence grow as they talk with their peers, explaining their learning and thought process.

The desk is just the size for students to have the option to stand or sit!”

  • Cutting Up With Cricut!

    Funded Jun 5, 2019

Words can not describe the wonder and joy I have already experienced using this Cricut for my students. This summer, my summer school students were the first to benefit from the personalization the machine was able to offer. Students were so proud to see their name pressed on their shirts. This gave them a sense of pride and eagerness to be able to wear their shirts for various field trips and activities.

As I prepare for the up coming school year, I am thrilled as I begin to prepare to make personalized items for the students. I can't wait for them to see the person touches at open house. This will help to quickly build a positive classroom culture.

Thank you so much for investing in the whole student.”

I am a 3rd grade teacher who loves to inspire children. My classroom is lively and engaging. My mission is to positive impact the lives of students and their families. My goal is to empower students with the feeling of possibility. I want them to walk away knowing that someone cares for them and believes in their ability. My purpose is to be their champion, rooting and cheering for them. Being their advocate in and out the classroom. In Title I schools many children come from low income/poverty stricken homes. My school has a high population of ELLs and often have little to no exposure to the activities and resources I want for them. I, like hundreds of other teachers around the country, want to give each of my students the tools they need to succeed and that includes a knowledgeable teacher. Help me be the best teacher I can be. Thank you for making an investment into the lives of my students.
