When students first arrive to school, they have the opportunity to use the morning tubs while we are waiting for the rest of the class to arrive. This gives me an opportunity to great each student individually. The morning tubs are a way for students to have a calm and fun start to their day.
My students need engaging, hands-on, educational materials for morning tubs that will last all year long.
Morning tubs encourage students to work together to build, create, or play. I am asking for materials that my students can easily access and work on independently. These materials will reinforce reading skills, math skills, fine motor skills, art skills, and social skills.
The I Sea 10! Game, Play-Doh Shape and Learn Numbers and Counting, Sum Swamp Game, Bear Counters, Math Memory Game, Shape Template Set, and Froggy Feeding Fun Activity Set are all hands-on ways my students will be able to practice their math and counting skills. Practicing fine motor skills is an important part of 1st grade. The Lace and Trace Set will help students with this. By providing the students with Frontier Logs, Jenga game, and Play-Doh, the students can use their creativity to build. Pipe Cleaners, Stamps, Stamp Pads, Stickers, and Stencils allow students to show their creativity through art. The ABC Magnets, Alphabet Memory, Phonics Dominoes, Story Cubes, Unifix Letter Cubes, and the Alphabet Beads give students a variety of ways to work on their phonics and reading skills. The Dry Erase Boards will be used for writing practice, practicing math skills and drawing. The Sterilite tubs will allow my class to have an easy way to organize and store all of these items.
We are excited to start using these morning tubs in our class!
