  • Art Room Tables Continued

    Thank you so, so much for helping me improve the art room at my school. My students deserve a bright, beautiful place to come and create artwork.   • Art Room Tables

    Thank you so much for helping me procure new tables for the art room at my school. They have brightened up the room, and made the students so happy. The children couldn't contain their excitement when they entered the room. They are all anxious for me to get more donations so all of our tables can be replaced.

    The tables have been used for color coded groupings of students. In addition, the dry erase tops have lent themselves to a variety of activities. From free drawing time, "How-to Draw" activities, and "What am I?" drawings.

    My next steps are to set up another donation so I can get enough new tables for the entire room. After that, I would like to work on getting beautiful matching chairs as well. I am so grateful to the supporters who are helping me give my students an art room that they deserve!”

  • Art Library

    Thank you so much for generously donating to help me build up my Art Library. The students love when they have an opportunity to select a book to read. The books help reinforce art concepts like the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. They expose the students to various artists and their techniques. They also help the children see how many career options there are in the arts.

    We especially loved the books we received to help us with our illustrator studies. We had so much fun learning about different illustrators, and practicing their techniques. We looked closely at the works of Dr. Seuss, Leo Lionni, Eric Carle, and Ezra Jack Keats. The children were so inspired!”

  • Getting Zen

    I thank you so much for helping me procure a set of mini Buddha Boards to use with my students. My students were so excited to use them! They handled them very delicately, as I told them they were given to us as a special gift. They had so much fun exploring various painting techniques, and different designs.

    I plan to utilize the boards in even more ways this year! They will be part of our "Art Choice" centers. In addition, I will use them as a tool to help soothe and calm students who are having a rough time.

    We do not have a lot of funding for art materials in my school. I am eternally grateful to you for helping me to grow my supply of art resources.”
