  • Support our Sensory Seeking/Avoiding Students in the Art Room

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

I am so grateful for your help to obtain these sensory responsive supplies for our students. As a person with disabilities myself, I take accessibility very seriously. I can’t wait to see my students faces when they see the new supplies. I’m confident they will make a big difference in my visual arts classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fiorino

  • Our Artroom Needs Essentials

    Funded Oct 27, 2024

Thank you so much for the enriching and essential art supplies your generous donation provided to my elementary visual arts classroom. We use the pink erasers- DAILY along with the glue sticks and magnetic dry erasers.

The pencil cases help us distribute oil pastels. The white oil pastels are have been put to good use for many projects for blending tints and for creating highlights in our artwork.

I will attach pictures of some of the amazing artwork my students have created. They continue to build confidence and skill everyday and I'm so proud of how much they have accomplished.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fiorino

  • Let’s Cultivate History, Culture and Mindfulness in the Art Room

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

I thoroughly appreciate your support in donating these wonderfully enriching supplies to my elementary visual arts classroom. My students loved learning about Egyptian hieroglyphics and William the Hippo from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The stencils were a fabulous way to engage them.

Glue sticks have been essential for our collaging. The card stock and printer ink has been so helpful to support our literacy and give students visual references.

The crochet needles will be utilized again at testing time to create some chain knitted bracelets and necklaces.”

  • Art Supplies for Color & Shadow Make Our Work Pop!

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

I appreciate your generosity and support. Having access to these fresh supplies will benefit my students and their visual arts experience. I think it will give them confidence in their abilities when they use the markers along with the graphite pencils to make their artwork stand out. They are always frustrated lately by our lack of color choices and now they will have 40 to choose from. I can’t wait to pass along the great news and get started on some enriching art projects. Happy new year and thank you again for seeing the value in my program.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fiorino

I am so grateful for all the support for my elementary visual arts program. I am looking forward to providing these amazing new materials to my students and seeing them experience and engage in the art making activities having access to these supplies will provide. Happy new year and thank you again so seeing the value in my teaching.”

  • Let's Fill in the Gaps in the Art Room

    Funded May 25, 2024

All of the items from this project have been useful to our elementary visual arts program. Students LOVE the ASL alphabet- I see them all the time practicing their finger spelling- they especially enjoy attempting their names.

The handheld sharpeners are excellent for keeping students in their seats and letting them sharpen their colored pencils without a big mess. The Watercolor paint refills are getting a workout this year and students are enjoying painting. Sharpie markers are a daily use item in our room and we cannot function without them. The flat paintbrushes have been perfect for our youngest grades to learn how to use tempera cakes. The HDMI adapter is used daily to connect my computer to the smart board seamlessly. Finally, the letter stencils are a huge hit with my special education classes as well as overall when we make thank you or holiday cards. I will try to include many pictures.”

  • Help Provide Sensory, Adaptive Fun in the Art Room

    Funded May 13, 2024

Thank you for supporting my elementary visual arts students. One of the best things I think I did all year was ask for these materials. My students both with sensory needs and neurotypical enjoyed using the kinetic sand and the magnetic tiles. Students worked in groups and problem solved, they created so many amazing designs and were celebrating their accomplishments with pride. At the end of the year it was a blessing when there were frequent schedule changes to have accessible sensory friendly supplies. The liquid timers match our mood meter board and my students loved them. The weighted animals will make their debut in September, but the few who previewed them were really calmed by them. Thank you for making a difference in our classroom- we will use these supplies a long time.”

  • Let’s Experiment With New Creative Art Supplies

    Funded Jan 14, 2024

I apologize for being late with the photos and thank you letter. These supplies made a big impact on our elementary visual arts class this year. The snowflake stencils are big and sturdy and the k-2 classes enjoyed using them to practice positive/negative space designs. The kwik stick pencils were a fun way to build designs on top of our heart paintings, the students enjoyed them and the artwork was vibrant and colorful. The posca markers and brush pens have been used for several projects like the northern lights winter tree paintings and Ming dynasty inspired collages with cherry blossom branches.

Again, I am grateful for you contribution and I can't wait to showcase the student work in their annual arts exhibition. Next year we will continue using these enriching supplies you have so generously provided to us. Have a wonderful summer!”

  • Artists Need a Place to Display Work for Annual Shows

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

The display panels are such high quality and will be used for years and years to come. I began preparing for our culminating arts festival and will enclose some photos of my progress. Because they are freestanding and sturdy, they will serve to make our students, parents and school community feel like they're attending a professional artist exhibition. I can't wait to see the proud reactions when they see their artwork on display in June. I will also put some pictures of last year's show so you can see the sheer amount of work that gets shown. I am so grateful for your support of our arts program.”

  • Let’s Ring in the New Year With New Paper

    Funded Dec 27, 2023

The bright colored construction paper has been a huge part of our current art work. We've painted Fluffy textured polar bears in Kindergarten, made symmetrical Tiger collages inspired by artist Henri Rousseau and started bright pop art inspired flower collages. Also, my fourth and fifth graders made some lovely identity jars containing drawings of cultural objects, symbols and items important to them personally.

The paper is bright and will be wonderful when it comes time to mount more artwork for display in our annual culminating arts festival. We will continue creating for a long time with your generous support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fiorino
