  • Kid Campaigns 2

    Funded Oct 14, 2020

Creating Kid Campaigns has been a fun and enlightening experience for us all. As a teacher, I quickly found out how talented and civic-minded my students and families are. They worked together to create a full barrage of media, speeches, and advertising for even the simplest of our virtual classroom jobs. As students, they learned that gaining the trust of your peers and selling yourself as the best person for a job is very challenging. We wish to thank you for the materials provided and hope to have your support in the future. We have been greatly challenged by distance learning but we are going to continue to persevere and innovate new ways of teaching and learning. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

  • Graphic Designs and Learning Incentives

    Funded Apr 16, 2019

Thank you for helping us to personalize our learning environment! We are now creators and not just consumers of technology. As students encounter challenges with our everyday rigorous curriculum, we need specialized tools to remind them that they can be successful. These supplies have been vital in raising our students' self-esteem and showing them that their creativity has no limits. Your contributions to our school are greatly appreciated and I hope that we can continue to build our partnership.”

  • Health Through Dramatic Motion and Voice

    Funded Feb 19, 2019

I am very grateful for the funding of our QBall project. In a classroom that serves special population students, it is often difficult to promote conversation. Students are apprehensive or simply choose not to share their ideas. The QBall has made a significant difference. It has made sharing aloud a fun activity. Anytime you get to incorporate play into classroom learning then you change the culture of the environment and lower the anxiety. Thank you for being a partner in our classroom and changing the way our students speak.”

  • Diverse Learners Gaining Access to the World

    Funded Jan 24, 2019

Thank you very much for your generous support of my diverse learners. The iPad has been a big hit in our classroom. We have used apps like Chatter Pix that allow my students to take pictures with the tablet and add their own voice to inanimate objects. this way students have been able to explain science concepts, add their voice to plants and animals, and even explain their computation steps in mathematics. It has been fun watching their confidence and engagement rise. Thank you for making this possible.”

  • Coding Technology Learning

    Funded Mar 25, 2018

Our mission to become a STEAM certified school has brought us together with many incredible donors like yourself. Thank you for gifting us these incredible technology tools and helping us along with our transformation. Coding is challenging yet very powerful. Students have discovered that coding controls almost every device we use. That knowledge is empowering! Our adventures with Dash and Dot has been fun as well. Students love that the robots interacted with them right out of the box. We are grateful. Thank you!”

  • Virtual Reality to Explore Our World Part 2

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

What an amazing set of adventures we have had with our new equipment. The Google Cardboard virtual reality headsets are ingenious in their design and functionality. We have even found a way to replicate their design and build many more. Thank you for allowing us to have an opportunity to learn 21st century skills that will one day make an impact in the lives of many of our students. Without donors like you, it would be difficult to use VR, or any advanced learning techniques in our inner city classroom. You have made us feel in touch with the modern world and very special. Thank you.”

  • Virtual Reality to Explore Our World

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

It has been very rewarding to allow our students to explore the world of Virtual Reality while at the same time teaching about the world around us. We have started with a broad examination of the universe and narrowed our studies to local cultures that surround us everyday. Thank you for the opportunity to immerse our students in 21st century learning with a twist. We value the opportunity to enrich cultural awareness and understanding of the way people choose to live. We value these opportunities and we value you for being our donor. Thank you.”

  • Creating Expert Broadcasts 2

    Funded Jun 1, 2018

Thank you very much for bringing broadcasting and movie materials into our classroom. We have had fun choosing topics to broadcast and even created our own mock news studio with breaking news segments created every week. Our students, who are usually shy and reserved, have found a new avenue to express themselves. This has helped with language development, confidence, and overall learning. Best of all, it has been fun! We know that donors can choose from tens of thousands of classrooms so we are eternally grateful that you have chosen us.”

    Funded Apr 12, 2018

Thank you very much for your help in funding this exciting project. Making films has been a very engaging activity, bringing out everyone's enthusiasm. It has allowed students to collaborate, show their individual strengths, and use their imagination to create. Green screen technology is amazing and very easy to use! our learning has taken us around the world and helped us explore a variety of learning topics. We humbly offer our gratitude for bringing these innovative tools into our classroom and our school.”

My students are AMAZING fourth graders, who deserve the very best! They are fun, energetic and creative, and I love to showcase their spectacular talents. The school where I teach is considered "high poverty," so some students do not have the same opportunities as others. Everyone qualifies for free lunch in the Title 1 program. Although my students are not diverse in race and background, they are all creative by nature and very different in the way they learn. Our urban school is located in a community that supports the arts, STEM, and extracurricular activities. Many students come into school looking forward to simple things like taking a photo, singing a song, or getting a hello from a friend. For some of them, this interaction is the only positive part of their day.
