  • I See. You See. We Can All See with a Document Camera!

    Funded Jul 31, 2013

Thank you so very much for your generous donation towards the ELMO document camera for my classroom. My students really enjoy the technology. They report that it is easier for them to participate and take guided notes. They also like to take turns being the teacher as they showcase their thinking or problem solving skills off to the rest of the class. The use of the document camera has really helped me be more effective and responsive to my students needs and learning preferences. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!”

  • Projector In Search Of A Computing Companion

    Funded Dec 21, 2012

I am over-joyed by your generosity in helping fund a laptop computer for the use in my classroom! I am thankful that you understand the value of current technology necessary for fully meeting the needs of all students.

The laptop will allow me to plan more engaging lessons for students and to assist students in gaining access to their accommodations within the general education curriculum. Students have used the computer to complete scholarship essays, apply for college, and research about the Holocaust. So far, the computer has been a great support for my students and myself.

Again, I am so thankful for your kindness and willingness to help students and schools in need of better resources.”

  • Classroom without Technology needs Y2K9 Update!

    Funded Sep 14, 2009

Thank you all very much for your generosity. My students really enjoy being able to use more technology in the classroom. So far, they've created PowerPoint presentations to accompany speeches, learned more through the use of visuals, and been introduced to new types of technology. The projector has reenergized me and my students. They get very excited when they walk through the door and see the projector set up. We really appreciate each of your donations. We really love the projector and feel very fortunate that you chose our project to help fund. I encourage you to continue helping students through donorschoose.”

  • Clearing Up Holes In Students' Reading

    Funded Jan 8, 2009

Thank you so much for you generous donation to our project. It is because of people like you that students can receive new materials and gain new experiences. These materials will help my students get excited about reading. They will also allow my class to read new materials. I will use these books to help check that the reading program we are using is actually increasing my students' decoding and comprehension. Thank you again for your generous contribution to our school.

    Thank you,

    Aime”

Welcome to Mrs. Puls' classroom! A place where individuality is encouraged and where students feel safe. I am a special education teacher. My students all have a disability. They work hard to overcome their learning deficits in an atmosphere that celebrates their differences and challenges the students to see past them. I challenge my students by giving them difficult texts and ways to accommodate their disabilities. Technology is very important to my classroom as a means to excite and engage my students. Further, it is necessary to help each student overcome their learning differences.
