Help Put Technology in the Hands of Students!
Funded Jun 10, 2017Thank you so very much for your generous donation to support bringing much needed technology to our hard-working middle school students. Working with technology is such an important part of today's world, and having access to it can bring so many wonderful experiences into the classroom. Our students have used our new Chromebooks in math class as a way to differentiate instruction and work on problems at their own level, in Literature to collaborate and write poems, and in Science to do research.
Our 8th grade students have also used the Chromebooks to research potential high schools and areas that they are interested in, as they working hard on completing their high school applications. Having access to these resources in school can be especially helpful for students who may not have access to them at home. Working with the 8th grade students in particular, they are especially grateful to be able to learn about high schools that they are interested in and some have even gone on virtual tours of potential high schools.
Lastly, because of your generous donation, all students will benefit in our school, as this technology is shared with all grades and classes. Students can collaborate on cross-curricular projects, and in many classes use online platforms, like Google Classroom to post assignments, and help keep students organized in classes like Programming, Math, and Literature.
Thank you again for all of your support! As our school continues to grow, it is because of donors like you, that we are able to expand and help deliver a rich and meaningful school experience to our children.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Anna
Real World Math
Funded Jan 2, 2013This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my middle school math classroom. The Scholastic Math magazine subscriptions that you have donated have enriched my after school math club and 7th grade scholars that I teach. Scholars in my after school math club always ask if a new issue has come in because they love reading the interesting articles and doing the math problems together.
This is my first year using the Scholastic Math magazines and without your help my 7th graders would never have experienced math in this fun, relevant way. Scholars who are usually shy in class are not afraid to talk about the articles that they read in the magazines. The articles have promoted great, real-life math conversations and we have used the math problems in each issue to further explore what we are learning in class.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without.”

Funded Aug 30, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The Scholastic Math Magazine subscriptions that you donated have helped my 7th graders see how math is more than just something thing that is done in a classroom. Thanks to you, we've used these magazines in class to discuss current events, to share what we've learned on our online learning blogs, and talked about how our interests relate to mathematics. The Math Magazines have been used in my 7th grade math class as well as in the Math Counts Club that I run after school.
Without your help, my scholars would not have had this awesome resource every month that helps math come alive and shows them how math is everywhere. Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without.
Thank you so much for believing and supporting my scholars and their math education!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Anna
