  • Special Need To Read!

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting my class. Reading is fundamental to become a productive citizen. With your support, we were able to put engaging books into the hands of students!

Before the shut down, we received our books. I left the box unopened on a desk building the anticipation. Upon opening the box, you could hear the disappointed sighs. However as the students began examining the books, their sighs turned into exclamations of joy! Students who normally frown at books begged to check them out.

Without your support this would not have happened. Your generosity is truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glasco

  • Time 4 My Kids!

    Funded May 27, 2019

Thank you for giving to our class. Your generosity knows no bounds. Without your support, my students wouldn't be thumbing through Time Life Magazines learning about rockets.

The magazines have something to draw in everyone of my students...even the most reluctant readers. Never before have the boys begged to continue reading. Several wouldn't even leave until given permission to take the magazine with them. Best of all when the returned, they excitedly shared how their peers asked to read with them!!

    You are truly a blessing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glasco

Some kids love to read but others struggle due to learning disabilities, cultural disadvantages, lack of interest, and lack of material they can relate to. TIME Magazine for kids would give them a wide range of topics and other cultures to read about that they would not normally come in contact with. I would use TIME For Kids as a way to hook them on certain topics and then use that as a jump-off point to initiate more in-depth research utilizing higher level reading texts. Reading is the foundation for all other disciplines of learning. If I can get them excited about using reading to learn more about something they are interested in I can strengthen their progress in other subjects.
