  • Teaching With Close Proximity to EVERY Student

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Technology is helping my students learn to their maximum potential. This presentation remote has allowed my co-teacher and I to teach from every corner of the classroom. We can stand next to a student that is misbehaving or stand at the back of the classroom to be able to watch the entire class.

Frequently, my co-teacher and I stand off to the sides of the classroom to give students the floor and let them go up to the board. Students get to take the lead and be the teachers in the room. This empowers students and promotes a growth mindset in them to be able to lead with confidence. The students are super excited to be classroom leaders and to be able to come up to the Smartboard and write on it.

The students who have benefited the most from this new technology have been our students with disabilities and our English Language Learners. They have always been the quiet ones who sit at their desks and are shy to participate verbally. Coming up to the Smartboard to show what they know has allowed them to nonverbally participate, and yet, still show their teachers and peers that they can do the work!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed

  • Making Algebra POP With Colorful Visuals

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

This printer is a dream come true for any educator-- ESPECIALLY during this COVID-era. This has changed the way that I can teach in this Blended/Hybrid Learning Model. I have always needed a printer, but was never able to really afford one due to all of the other supplies I would have to purchase from my own pocket each school year. By having my own printer, I am able to print in color and create beautiful assignments for my students to bring up their motivation during this time. Students' morale has been quite low and COVID has really taken so much away from their social-emotional well-being. This color printer is a game-changer for me as an educator and for my students as learners. I can now create high-quality projects & assignments for them. They have state math exams scheduled for June 2021 and I am sure that this color printer will prepare them for what is to come! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

  • The Remote Learning My Students Deserve

    Funded May 20, 2020

Thank you for providing my students and I with this iPad to give them THE REMOTE LEARNING THEY DESERVE. When we went Remote back in the Spring, no one knew what to do or how to do it. It happened at the drop of a dime and teachers had to just "make it work" with little to no training. Teachers did not have the proper technology to even take the leap forward with Remote Learning. Teaching math has to be visual. This iPad allowed math to come to life for my students, from the comfort of their own homes. I was able to teach on this iPad and continue our Algebra curriculum as planned with no disruptions. Students felt like they were literally in the classroom with me. And for that, I am forever grateful to all of the donors who were able to make this happen for us. THANK YOU.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed

  • Our Classroom iPad

    Funded Nov 1, 2019

Our classroom iPad has truly brought Algebra to life for my students. I am now able to bring algebra to them and show them how algebra plays a role in the real world.

My students are so excited to have a portable piece of technology at their fingertips. They are excited to manipulate graphs and watch math videos. Students are able to practice their algebra skills.

My students with disabilities and English Language Learners have truly warmed to this new technology. They are benefitting from visuals and hands on activities.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed
