  • A Classroom iPad for Interactive Mathematics

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

I am beyond grateful for your generous contribution to our classroom, which has allowed us to receive an iPad! Thanks to your support, our students now have a powerful tool that is enhancing their learning in ways I never imagined possible. I wanted to take a moment to share how this new technology is making a real difference in our classroom.

For many of our students, this is their first experience using such advanced technology as part of their daily learning routine. The iPad has opened up so many exciting opportunities for engagement, creativity, and collaboration. It allows us to integrate interactive apps that make abstract concepts in math come to life. Whether it's using math apps to explore 3D shapes or accessing virtual graphing tools to visualize angles and transformations, students are able to interact with math in a more hands-on and dynamic way. This is especially impactful in subjects like Algebra I and Geometry, where visualization and spatial reasoning are crucial.

What excites my students the most about the iPad is the ability to personalize their learning. With the device, they can work at their own pace, watch instructional videos, and even take virtual quizzes to test their understanding. This has been a game-changer for students who need a little extra help or for those who are ready to dive deeper into the material. One of my students, in particular, has flourished with the iPad. They have always struggled with math, but now, thanks to interactive math games and tutorials on the device, they are much more confident and enthusiastic about solving problems. The iPad has made learning feel more accessible, and this student is no longer afraid to engage with difficult concepts.

Thanks to your generous donation, we are able to create an even more enriched and personalized learning environment for all of our students. This tool is helping them develop critical digital literacy skills and giving them the confidence to take ownership of their learning. I can't thank you enough for your support and for helping make all of this possible.

On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for believing in our classroom and in the power of technology to inspire and engage!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed

  • Mental Health Matters-- Especially for High School Algebra Students!

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

I hope this letter finds you well! I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our recent project. Your contributions have truly transformed our classroom environment. With the new resources, we have embarked on an exciting project centered around environmental science, where students are not only learning about ecosystems but actively engaging in hands-on experiments. Just last week, we used the new microscopes to examine pond water samples, and it was incredible to see their curiosity come to life as they discovered tiny organisms they never knew existed!

When the students first laid eyes on the new materials, their excitement was palpable. Many of them exclaimed in delight, eager to dive into the activities we had planned. One particular moment that stands out was when a group of students gathered around the microscopes, their eyes wide with wonder as they took turns peering into the lenses. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it created a vibrant atmosphere of inquiry and teamwork that I hope to foster in our classroom every day.

Looking ahead, we have some thrilling next steps in our project. We plan to culminate our unit with a presentation where students will share their findings and insights from their experiments. They will work in groups to create visual displays and present their discoveries to the class. Your support has made this possible, and I can't wait to share the outcomes with you. Thank you once again for your generosity and commitment to our students' education. We truly appreciate it!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed

  • Clean Classroom Air for a Fresh Start

    Funded Aug 23, 2020

First and foremost, thank you all so much for your generosity, love and support for our classroom. This year has been a year like no other. Having students in the school building 100% during a pandemic has truly tested each and every one of us. Wearing masks and socially distancing has made several of us feel isolated and alone.

The materials in this project have truly made our classroom feel like a safe learning environment. As my students and I look around our classroom space, we feel grateful to know that we are not spreading our germs into the air. Several of us were very scared to return to school buildings with COVID lurking in the background. This air purifier truly made us all feel safer and we were so happy to know that it is cleaning our classroom air as we are all gathered together.

We are forever grateful to you all for your donations to our classroom. Thank you for making this school year a little bit more normal!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mohamed

  • A Cell Phone-Free, Focused Learning Environment

    Funded Mar 21, 2022

First and foremost, thank you all so much for your generosity, love and support for our classroom. This year has been a year like no other. Having students in the school building 100% during a pandemic has truly tested each and every one of us. Wearing masks and socially distancing has made several of us feel isolated and alone.

This cell phone locker truly allowed my students to engage in true social interactions with one another. When school began in September, students were buried in their phones and barely talked to each other. Several students were not able to put their phones down and focus on learning. Now that we can disconnect from our technology, I can instantaneously see a rise in student engagement.

We are forever grateful to you all for your donations to our classroom. Thank you for making this school year a little bit more normal!”

My students are now able to print at any time they need, from their own devices. Having a wireless printer in our classroom has truly changed our lives. Our classroom is more colorful and our students are a bit more cheerful!
