  • Hands-on Math Learning

    Funded May 24, 2024

Thank you for your support of our classroom! Having your support on this grant has allowed us a fun way for the children to work on math concepts. For the children they think they are playing but the adults are able to use the activities as a way to assess the children. Anytime we can do the assessment through authentic activities the better!

We already have literacy kits so the children were excited when the kits arrived and unpackaged. They knew what to expect and were able to jump right in and do the activities.

We continue to use the file folder activities weekly in the classroom both as a learning experience and as an assessment experience.

Your support of our classroom is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Angie

  • Tonies in the Preschool Classroom

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you for your donation to this grant! We have slowly been introducing the Tonies and Tonie box to the children in the classroom. Currently the children are using the song Tonie to listen to songs in the classroom.

The next step will be for books that match the Tonies to be available for the children to follow along with the story. This will be a great opportunity for the children to be exposed to print along with words.

When the Tonie arrived, the children were super excited to see something new. In two classes of children, I believe only one child has had exposure to a Tonie box so it was fun to have her show her friends how to make it work but also fun to see the excitement in the children who had never seen one before. When showing the material to the children they would get super excited trying to guess what the story was that went with the Tonie.

Again, thank you for supporting our little learners! Your support is greatly appreciated!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Angie

  • Bringing Stories Alive with Puppets

    Funded Dec 2, 2023

Thank you for your support of our classroom by helping to fund our grant for a Puppet Stage. We have had puppets in the classroom for a while, but they were not used or if they were they were not used correctly. Since adding the puppet stand the children have used the puppets daily and learning to tell stories with the puppets.

When I pulled the box out of the closet, I had lots of children asking me "What is that?" "Is that for us?" I told them I need their help to put it together. They went to the drawer with tools and started to help put it together. The children enjoyed being able to help put it together.

Thank you again for helping the children have this opportunity to tell stories to their friends using the puppets we already have in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Angie

  • Building Language

    Funded Aug 22, 2023

Thank you for support of our youngest learners. These file folder games have allowed the children the opportunity to work on topics ranging from ABC's to vocabulary words in a fun hands-on way. The children are able to use the games at their pace and able to self-check to see if they are doing the activity correctly.

These folder games are available for the children to be able to use on their own, with other children, or with adults to expand their knowledge.

Thank you for your support of our children and their learning!”

  • Real Life Kitchen

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Thank you for your support of our youngest learners! The students LOVE the new material in our housekeeping area. As soon as I started unpacking the boxes and adding to the center, they were all there checking it out. Every day the children are making smoothies, coffee, and cookies for their friends.

Having the real-life materials allows the children the opportunity to explore, pretend, learn, and experience real-life. I am always looking to add new items and materials to the classroom that help the children expand and learn but in a fun way. These items definitely meet that goal.

I appreciate your help in bringing new materials to the children!”

  • Wordless Picture Nonfiction Books for Preschool

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you for your support of our classroom! The books that we were able to purchase from this grant have been a great addition to our classroom.

The non-fiction wordless picture books allow the children the opportunity to create their own stories based on the pictures. The children are able to tell the story in their own words. The wordless picture books also allow the children the opportunity to have a model as they create their own wordless picture books.

We appreciate your support of the youngest learners in our school by helping to support this grant.”

  • Summer Learning for Kindergarten Bound Students

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you for your support of our Summer Learning for Kindergarten Bound Students project. The children loved receiving the goodies at their End of the Year Celebration.

I enjoyed seeing them smile when they saw all the items they were able to take home with them.

Giving the children that were headed to kindergarten the opportunity to have materials to explore during their time off was such a great bonus. Even if the children didn't have a parent or adult helping them with the material all the time, they could use the white board and markers on their own.

I appreciate your support in helping to give my children a heads up as they head to kindergarten.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Angie

  • Preschool Learning through Games!

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you for your support of our Learning through Games grant. There are so many positive learning features to games. I was excited to be able to offer these opportunities for our youngest learners.

When the games arrived the children were super excited to open the boxes and see what was inside. The games set where the children could see them for several days as we saved them for our G is for Games Day on our ABC countdown to the end of the school year.

The day arrived and the children were so excited to be able to play the games. The took turns playing the games, leading the games, and helping others to learn the games.

Your thoughtfulness was appreciated as we continue to find ways to motivate our young children. They think they are playing but I know they are learning.

Thank you for your support of our littlest learners.”

  • Cozy Coupe Cars for Preschool Movement

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you for your help funding this grant. The children and I appreciate it greatly! Having two new Cozy Coupes added to our current ones brings joy to the children.

The children LOVE seeing the new ones and their faces light up each time they go to the gym.

My face lights up when I see the Cozy Coupes and know that the children are going to enjoy the cars but are also working on so much more while using them. The children work on sharing and turn-taking. They are also working on building their gross motor skills and building their strength and stamina in their legs.

Thank you for your support of our classroom and our little learners.”

  • Help Bring Stories Alive

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you for helping fund this grant.

We appreciate your support of our youngest learners.

The material purchased help to connect the concepts of the different songs and books for the children. They are able to see a picture of what they are hearing in the song/story.

The children are also able to use the hands-on materials and manipulate the story pieces themselves. They can retell the story in their own words while using the materials.

When the materials arrived, the children helped me to unpack them and were excited with each different story. We continue to use the materials weekly to sing different songs or read the class favorite stories.

    Thank you for your support!”

    Mrs. Angie
