I teach in an urban setting Title I school on the West Side of Chicago. I have about 26 students per class period. My students are middle grade students ranging from 11-14 years of age. The majority of the students come from low income families. I've noticed that my students have an appreciation for technology. In my class, technology brings excitement, motivation and students are engaged. I would like to provide them with the opportunity and the guidance to experience and explore 3D printing and all its benefits. This technology will not only provide students to experience 3D technology but it is an opportunity for them to explore careers in technology or engineering.
