Library On Wheels, Part Deux
Funded Oct 9, 2018THANK YOU! The library came yesterday and thankfully a few of my former students were able to help me build it after school. Today, when my students walked into the classroom, they were in complete awe with their new library and you can tell that they were filled with absolute joy. Now I will have more room for even more books in my classroom and they know it!
Now that the library is complete, the students will have an easier time browsing for books that's perfect for them. Next week, I will update you with how the library looks, and how thankful my children truly are. Thank you for bringing so much happiness to these childrens' lives. You are truly impacting their learning!”

Mr. Duncan
Robots Are Taking Over Our School!
Funded Sep 3, 2018A big thank you to all the amazing support you provide for my students. I do apologize because the unit that I am showing in the photographs isn't the robot unit, but another unit where my students are creating pollinators, which I thought you would absolutely love! As you can see, they are utilizing some of the supplies requested from this project (pom poms, googly eyes, construction paper) to create their pollinators. You can obviously see that they are really enjoying using the items you donated to design and learn AMAZING things. Honestly, I did not expect this project to get funded so quickly. I planned on having the students design their robots in December, and I wanted to make sure to show my appreciation as soon as possible.
So thank you for giving my students an opportunity to design such amazing projects. They will have many more design/engineering opportunities this year. I am so excited to see their next creations!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Duncan

Funded Aug 23, 2018Would you take a look at those photos? Can you not see the impact you made in my classroom? My students are ABSOLUTELY in love with reading. One of my students came up to me and said, "Mr. D, I am going read more nonfiction text because I love to learn." As you can see you made it easier for her to locate nonfiction text that are at her reading level.
My students are overjoyed with their new library; you should have seen them walk into the room and not be able to take their eyes off of it. It is much easier for me to manage library time, and assist my students in finding the right books for them.
Thank you for be so amazing. My students are lucky to have strangers that care so much for their learning.”

Funded Jul 21, 2018You wouldn't believe the absolute joy in my students faces when they were opening the boxes of 'treasures' that you amazing donors made possible. My students ARE so excited about these items, and they are working hard to earn them.
My students are motivated to learn and to behave like scholars, and thanks to your donations they are able to work towards incentives.
What I was happy to see with my students is that they are problem solvers and they love a good challenge. They were immediately drawn to the rubrix cubes and the puzzles. My students will continue to work their hardest and continue to engage in scholarly traits. Thanks for helping fund incentives for my students so that they can continue to be enthusiastic about learning.”

Mr. D, I Lost My Paper
Funded May 7, 2018I can never find the right words to express my gratitude to the donors of my classroom. We just ended our first week of the school year, and with the new organization supplies that my students received from this project, I can already tell you that my students are much more prepared and ready to learn. My students are taking ownership of their baskets, pencil boxes, and folders. They are now more driven to stay organized. These skills are so important as they grow and mature, so it is truly important to foster them at a young age.
I can't wait to get the permission slips from my students' parents so that I can share photos of them utilizing the materials from this project. Thank you for caring so much for a group of students who need so much, but have so little. I will share about your contributions to their learning, so that know they have advocates that truly care about them.”

Toner to Fill These Blank Pages
Funded Feb 26, 2018Thank you for your generous donations! I cannot explain the excitement that my students feel when they are able to see their writing come to life. We have also started to create comic strips in the classroom with www.makebeliefscomix.com, and the students were super thrilled to see what they created on screen come to life.
They are always excited to finish their stories so they can print them out. They are even more excited to be able to take them home and show off what they created to their parents.
Thank you for your support, generosity, and being an integral part of my students' successes in the classroom.”

Pump Up The Ball, Pump It Up!
Funded Jan 7, 2018I can't begin to express enough gratitude for the impact that donors have made to my classroom during the 2017-2018 school year. I continuously just get absolutely floored by the generosity by complete strangers, and the people that I care about.
This project help me provide the students with a ball pump, so that when we go outside for PE, our equipment is ready to use. My students are just thrilled to have balls that "actually bounce". This project was a continuation of another project where the students were provided with a variety of balls. Now I have the means to make these balls ready to use.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are just amazing.”

The Land Where All The Missing Pencils Go
Funded Dec 10, 2017With all of the appreciation that I can possibly offer, thank you for making another project for my classroom come to life. This project was to help fulfill the basic needs of a classroom. Believe it or not pencils and markers are difficult to keep in a second grade classroom. My little guys and little girls tend to constantly lose their materials. Yes it's important for me to teach my students organization skills, but what's more important is for them to have access to the tools that helps them be successful.
My students now have ample supplies, so that they can no longer use the excuse that they don't have a pencil or marker to complete their work because we now have plenty! You have became a part of my students' education. Your generous donations have made this possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Mr. Duncan
To Inspire Future Scientists, Techies, Engineers, and Mathematicians
Funded Nov 1, 2017I'm always so humbled with each and every generous donation that my classroom receives to benefit my amazing students. This was a particularly important project to me since I was bringing in a STEM based curriculum that would benefit all primary students at my school site. Students that do not have the same access to resources that they deserve to support their learning and interests in STEM.
As you can see in the pictures, our staff came together to plan these lessons for our children. Also, included is a product of an engineering lesson where my students were designing a bridge to benefit the goats from the "The Three Billy Goats Gruff."
Thank you for supporting me in bringing a curriculum that's supports my students pathway to build their interest in STEM.”

Funded Nov 29, 2017My students are absolutely IN LOVE with the prizes you provided for them in their treasure box. Just simply look at the pictures I posted of them, and you can clearly see the pure joy in their faces. Your amazing donations have helped my classroom tremendously. They are so motivated by the new prizes in the treasure box. You better believe that anytime I start distributing table points, my class gets completely in line because they are excited about all the goodies that they could potentially win.
My students don't come for much. So it gives me tremendous amount of pleasure to see them enjoy the prizes that were provided for them. Those these are small trinkets to us, but to them, they are treasures. So thank you for filling their treasure box for them.”

Mr. Duncan
