We're All The Same, We're All Different!
Funded May 23, 2013My students were excited when I opened the shipment box and took out the new iPad. We have one iPad in the class and they new automatically that with two they would get a little more time on them.
We use the iPad mostly during independent work time. The class is divided into four groups of six and while I am working with one group the other groups are working on their own. I don't have six devices yet, so the two iPads and the two Nooks that we do have are in our library area and that's where the students get to use them. There are a lot of great applications available for the iPad that allow students to work on their reading, writing and math skills.
The iPad is great, now we have two students sharing a device instead of three. My students are getting more time on it and I have used it to show them pictures related to our classroom vocabulary; instant visuals!
Thank you so much again, we really do appreciate your donations.”

Funded Apr 2, 2013Thank you so much for your kind donations. This project has really brought a smiles to my students faces. We want to have a technology center and this new Nook has helped us grow our center a little more.
My students love to explore the various apps I have downloaded for them on the Nooks. They are enjoying games that have them building words, identifying sounds, tracing letters, reading, counting, finding patterns and so much more in a fun and entertaining way. They have also become better at sharing, which makes me very happy. With only three devices our technology center still has a long way to grow, thanks again for helping us add to it.”

Student-Teacher-Parent Communication
Funded Mar 27, 2013Thank you all so much for your kind donations! I cannot express how much this project has already been of great use to our class. It's fantastic to have a copy machine when I need it without having to leave my classroom; I've been able to copy papers in class that I didn't have time to during recess. It's also been a great help to some of my parents, finding and printing documents they needed for their children. I've used the printer to print pictures for a Mother's Day project. But what I have liked the most was how having a color printer helped my students add color and picture to their science projects; they were so proud of their end results! I wish every class had a color printer, thank you for helping us get ours!”

Centered On Learning
Funded Nov 6, 2012Thank you so much for helping fund this project. My class is enjoying the new games and Nook we received.
The games are helping my students who need the extra help as well as my students who need English language support. They love playing Bingo and the other games that help build math and reading skills. The Nook has become a very popular activity in the class. My students are very engaged in the various apps I have purchased for them, in fact it is so popular that I have created another project asking for a second Nook!
We'd like to thank you once again for supporting our class.”

Funded Sep 11, 2012Thank you all once again for helping fund out classroom project! We really needed this four person art center in our class, one that belonged to us and didn't have to be shared amongst other classes.
My students have truly enjoyed their art center. They love being able to create what ever their little hearts desire, from painting animals, rainbows, parks or abstract paintings, they have a blast. And they are so excited when their paintings dry up and they are able to take them home to share with their family.
Your donations are not only going to affect my students this year, but many more students as the years go by. Thank you!”

Kindergarten: Shake, Rattle And Roll!
Funded Apr 4, 2012Dear kind donors, I can't begin to express the contribution your donation has made to my class. P.E. time used to be about waiting for an available tricycle or writing with chalk on the ground; not very active. Now my students have choices, there are enough activities for all of them to do (no more waiting!). My students are learning to balance, catch and throw. They are running, jumping, wiggling and shaking; they are being active and having a great time doing it! The parachute allows us to play and work together.
Your kind donations have brought so much joy into our active play time and we just want to thank you so much for that!”

Funded Mar 25, 2012Thank you for your generous donations! My students are enjoying their new materials. The white boards are making our dictation lessons more enjoyable, my students love writing with the markers and love that they each have their own eraser! Our library area is much more comfortable and colorful thanks to our new carpet; it's become a nice place to sit and enjoy a book or play a game.
The art center has become a favorite in our class. My students love being able to make and take art home and they have become independent too taking each art piece to the drying rack when they are finished and hanging up their apron.
Your donations have made our class an even more enjoyable place to learn! Thank you once again.”

Kindergarten Moving Ahead With Technology
Funded Feb 2, 2012Thank you all for your generous donations! My students love their new laptop! They love being able to log onto the reading program that our school purchased, browse the Internet, and play educational websites. I especially love it because I'm able to use it with our projector and show the entire class videos that go with our unit of study. We love the ease of taking the computer to our seats and being able to use it wherever we are. My students can't wait until it's their turn to be on it!
Thank you again for all you have done for us! ”
