My special education students have yet to discover a book that captures their imaginations and come to life for them. With a Nook, it is possible. The use of new technology will amaze and inspire them to read. Their excitement will be immeasurable. My students are AMAZING!! My students are 5th/6thth grade special education students at a Chicago Public School. Many of my students do not have access to computers or new technology at home. My students are at least 2 years below grade level in reading. They are at the age where reading an easy reader/ leveled book around general education peers is quite embarrassing to them. With a Nook, I can purchase eBooks at their instructional levels, and other students wouldn't even know what they are reading. Many special education students learn kinesthetically and auditorily. The Nook would provided them with both ways of learning,
