STEM KITS for KIDS
Funded Jan 26, 2025My students and I are thrilled beyond belief that we will have some amazing STEM kits to activate our smart scientist brains, and engage kids in learning that will benefit them for the rest of their academic lives! You have truly made an incredible impact in these kids' futures. Thank you so much!!”

Kids Need to Move to Learn!
Funded Sep 26, 2023thanks to you, I was able to not only have enough wobble feet for every student in my classroom, I also shared with a few other teachers! They have come back to say the wobble feet have already made a huge difference in their classrooms.
My students not only use them during class, but they love to make games using wobble feet during their brain breaks! They use them as little hopping islands or a thin balancing path, enhancing their agility, coordination, and strength, as well as allowing them to play together and develop socially.
Each of you have made a huge impact. Thank you for your contribution!”

Funded May 8, 2023This year, my students have been more energetic, unfocused, and unable to stay on task, than any previous year I have taught. I know that increasingly, impulse control is something kids are having a harder time managing, and it really shows in their abilities to tolerate school work, and ultimately, learn and grow.
Fixed furniture has been shown to be extremely helpful for students in maintaining control of their ability to stay in task, because it allows a non-distracting form of fidgeting which can be a great relief for that extra energy; more importantly, flexible furniture can provide relief for anxiety, and stress.
I am thankful for all your support. I believe this will truly make a world of difference for my students. I hope that alongside the academic benefits, they will enjoy school a lot more as well!”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Having a choice in reading material has a huge impact on kids making the choice to read. On an average day in my classroom are quite a few kids that can be seen at the book shelves, browsing aimlessly, without any real intent or hope of finding something they like. They will pick up a book, flip through the pages, set it back down, and do the same with another dozen books until time for reading runs out.
These same kids can now be seen engrossed in one of the National Geographic or other non-fiction and science books I have on my shelves, reading graphic novels and captivating short stories with enchanting pictures. The class is mostly silent, because they are enjoying reading, but I can hear a few students sounding out words. They are interested. They are learning.
One of the specialists walked in this morning and said, "Wow, you have a lot of readers in here." It made me feel proud...but that's what YOU should feel, having contributed to my classroom. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You made a difference.”

A Book a Day Keeps Illiteracy Away!
Funded May 8, 2018I am amazed at how much a class library has improved my students' engagement in silent reading time! It's honestly hard to get a few of them to stop and transition to classwork, because they're so absorbed in a world of imagination and fun. Little do they know, they are learning at the same time!
The best effect of all, however, is watching the avid readers influence those who are reluctant, and seeing the transformation first-hand. Good books create excitement, and when students share it with one another, the community of readers grows.
Thank you so much for making my class a place that can support growing readers, and thus create successful students!”

Ms. Anisimova
