Cricut in the Classroom- Tools for Creativity!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Your donation has exceeded all the expectations I ever had for these materials! You allowed me to be able to start a Cricut Club at our school. Every Wednesday afternoon I host amazing fifth graders to come and spend two hours being creative and making whatever their little hearts desire! They have made shirts, stickers, gifts, cards, and many more things!
Cricut has allowed for them to work on things they love and to express themselves freely. I have learned so much from the students in this club and it's all because you decided to fund this project!
I am so grateful for your support! We will continue to use these items for years to come- our school is better because of you!”

Your donations means we will have amazing materials and activities all year long. We appreciate you so much! THANK YOU for being a part of our journey in Kindergarten!”

Funded Dec 4, 2018One of my favorite parts of my job as the English Language Teacher is to be able to provide my students with access. My students are not only learning a new language but are also learning how to navigate a new community. All of this makes academic success even harder and it is vital that we provide them the tools they need to succeed. Technology provides my students with immediate access to books, videos, educational apps, and translators (among other things). Your donation provided them with keyboards and headphones that they have been using to complete their research or even write an essay about Fair Trade! I wish you could see them use these materials. They light up when they get to set up their own iPad or Chromebook to complete their work. Thank you for supporting my students - your help makes an enormous difference in their lives and their future!”

Kindergarten Scientists: Bilingual Books for our Ecosystem Unit
Funded Apr 23, 2018Last spring you kindly and generously contributed to my students' life. You may have thought that you were just paying for a few books and materials for a Kindergarten class but you did a lot more than that. As I described before I teach a bilingual group of children who are learning a second language (some are learning Spanish and some are learning English). The books and materials you helped us buy gave ALL of my students access to understanding and engaging in a tricky science unit full of terminology and vocabulary. I wish you could have seen their faces when they were able to read an amazing book both in English and Spanish or when they used the ladybug models to talk about the life cycle of a ladybug.
As a bilingual teacher it is often hard to find and afford quality books in Spanish and you made that easy for us! Thank you so much for your support, please know that it truly made and will continue to make a difference in my students' lives.”

Multicultural Classroom
Funded Nov 29, 2016Your donations have "made" our classroom. As you may already know, I teach students who are learning English as a second language. I currently work with Kindergarteners and first graders. Before, we received the carpet we got through this project. My students would have to sit at a table every day. Now, the carpet allows for movement, singing, sharing, and playing. We are able to enjoy our little community so much more! Another amazing positive from this project is our Spanish books! Almost all of my students speak Spanish at home. Half of my students are recent arrivals. So having books in their home language has been extremely exciting to them. The first graders LOVE Elephant and Piggie books and now they can also read them in Spanish with their families. I wish you could see the smiles on their faces when they saw the books! I hope you know how much better our days are because of your donations. Thank you so much for your help and support!”

Exploration Time
Funded Aug 17, 2015Your donations to my classroom have made an incredible impact in my students life. First of all, seeing their smiles when I introduce a new activity using paint, yarn, building with gears, or a structural challenge is the best part of my day. Thanks to you they love Exploration Time when they get to dig for dinosaur bones in kinetic sand, or create an abstract painting after learning about Jean-Michel Basquiat. Your donation also allows my students to have engaging activities during indoor recess on rainy, snowy, or cold days. Thank you so much for your generosity!”
