Thank you for your generous donations. Your gift has made such a positive impact on my Kindergarteners. My students use the books and CDs in our Listening center daily to help them read along and practice their reading fluency. They are so excited to work independently at this center and listen to all the new stories they now have access to. This has helped me as I work in small groups because my students are engaged in their literacy center stations thus giving me the time I need to work with my small groups. I love that I can see how much their interest in books has grown.
In addition to using these books at the listening center, I am also using the books during my Read Alouds and we practice close reading in an early attempt to uncover layers of meaning that lead to deeper comprehension of a text. Every week I select a book to read for the week and target different skills from introducing new vocabulary to character analysis. We love working with these books and you have made this possible. Once again thank you so much. You are AMAZING!”
