  • Empowering Learning With iPads and STEAM Planes Kit

    Funded Sep 8, 2024

Words cannot express how grateful I am for your generous donations to my classroom. Thank you for caring for our students and supporting them in their journeys to become life long learners. My students are most enthusiastic about learning when they have hands on learning activities and the resources to complete them. I use the iPads donated when I am teaching them how to use apps like Scratch Jr or Bee Bot as well as when I progress monitor them for language art skills.

Most recently our school celebrated Robotics night and the whole school community participated in not only learning about how the iPads can be used to code certain robots, but how this technology is used in classrooms to make connections and show their learning across all academic learning subjects.

We will continue using these resources to help us as we are learning this academic school-year.”

  • Art Is Magical

    Funded Sep 1, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to my classroom. My students love to create and express themselves through art. We use the materials donated every week during art instruction or with directed drawing activities.

Most recently our school celebrated Day of the Dead by creating a community altar. We transformed our schools Multipurpose room into several Altar displays by grade level. My students created sugar school paintings using the acrylic and watercolor paint we received with this donation. All the work created by our students was incredible and all because they had the materials they needed to create their pieces.

I will continue to put these wonderful materials to good use. We are currently working on winter holiday art and will use our paint and chalk to create snowmen portraits. We are having so much fun learning and exploring with our new resources.”

  • Calming Area

    Funded Jan 4, 2023

It brings me great joy to submit this impact letter to you. I am grateful and appreciative of your kindness and willingness to give to my "Calm Area" project. With these resources, my students have had access to things like stress squish balls, playdough, legos and specific books the help them regulate their heavy emotions.

My students feel safe in an environment where they are encouraged to take a break go to a quiet spot in the classroom to breathe deeply as they work through their emotions. Since having these resources I have noticed that more of my students are improving when it comes to regulating and processing their heavy feelings. They are usually done with the area in five minutes or less and then get back to work and are better engaged.

All of my students have embraced these resources and new area in our classroom and I could not be happier. Once again, thank you so much for such generous donations to our class. We are all truly grateful.”

  • iPads for Inquisitive Learners

    Funded Jun 26, 2022

It brings me great joy to submit this impact letter to you. I am truly grateful and full of appreciation for your kindness and willingness to give to my "iPads for Inquisitive Learners" project. With these iPads I have been able to teach my students how to code using apps like Scratch Jr, Bee-Bot and very soon they will be using them with the Blockly App the help them create code that will get our Dash Robots to move. Having these iPads has helped my students get more comfortable while they learned to code on the Bee-Bot app and then transfer their learning when using the actual Bee-Bot Robot.

My students are excited to have access to these iPads to supplement their learning because they have made things like learning about Augmented Reality easier to experience because these type of activities are navigated with greater ease through an iPad than their regular Chromebook.

All of my students are excited and engaged when using this new technology but my struggling students in particular have especially enjoyed using these iPads along with our Osmo Genius kit to review math and language art concepts.

Once again, thank you so much for such generous donations to our class. We are all truly grateful.”

  • A Printer in the Classroom to Share Our Stories

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations and support to both my students and me. We are thrilled to finally have access to a printer of our own. Since the arrival of our new Epson Eco tank printer, my students have been able to print multiple writing projects as well as google slide presentations on animal research projects they have worked on.

My students take so much pride in displaying their work not only in our classroom bulletin boards but also our displays out in our hallways. This printer has motivated them to complete assignments and projects faster because they can't wait to see the outcome of their hard work in print.

We use technology a lot in our classroom from creating story boards on Scratch Jr, to Coding with out Botley Robots, and creating google slide presentations. They can research topics and print articles they can use to help with writing their reports. Having this printer has also helped us print their projects to send home so that my students can share with their parents. We are so grateful to you all.”

  • Help Me Keep My Kindergartners "Organized"

    Funded Nov 6, 2016

I am so very grateful for your generous donations and support of my classroom. The organization supply caddies and the tabletop writing center station are used every single day by my students. They have definitely helped my students keep our literacy centers organized. They take pride in making sure everything goes where it belongs and keep them neat. We use them everyday during our Guided reading and Centers time.

The table top writing center is also used several times a day during Centers and our Writers Workshop time. My young writers love to go to this Writing station and get all the supplies they need to get them ready to start writing. It gives me such joy to see my students so happy with their new materials. They have taken pride and ownership of the materials and are taking such good care of them.

This was all possible thanks to donors like you. Thank you for making sure that classrooms all over the nation have the materials they need to succeed.”

My first graders are enthusiastic, inquisitive and wiggly! It is quite challenging to keep them on task reading independently especially when most of them are not fluent readers.
