Hands on Learning for Motivated Students
Funded Aug 16, 2022I cannot begin, to thank you all enough for these amazing materials, that you have put into the hands of my students. These materials are not only engaging but are allowing students to make connections form concrete-semi concrete- to abstract thinking. Having enough materials for all my students has been amazing. They now all get hands on practice at the same time and don't have to wait for partners to finish so they can start.
The division boards have been one of the biggest hits in my class this year. These boards have helped students to track their thinking when it comes to division. As you can see from the photo they get used a lot! I have convinced other teachers that they need these! They are such a huge benefit for students.
Again, Thank you so much for these materials! They mean the world to myself and my students!”

Engaging Readers
Funded Jan 29, 2022Thank you so much for your donations. As a result of these donations, I have been able to start building a classroom library that is fun and engaging to all. my students. These books are high interest books that meet the reading needs of all my students.
I love seeing students get excited to find books in our classroom library that they will enjoy reading. We have also used these books for book investigations, research projects, small reading groups, and much mush more!
I love, how even my lowest level readers, are finding books in our library. They are finding books about topics that they love and that they can reading.
In our classroom we do a lot of small group reading, whole class book talks, and even independent reading. These books allowed for us to be able to do all three of those this year! Thanks again for helping me build a library that my students love!”

Math, Science, Social Studies...OH MY!
Funded Jul 8, 2021The materials that my class received have been a huge hit. Not only for me as their teacher to aid in their learning, but also for the students. They find the activities they are doing with the materials engaging. They are eager to learn at the different stations because they are excited to use the new materials that we have.
We have been able to learn about the world around us with the interactive globe and also the National Geographic books that received. These materials also aided students in creating research slide shows.
The math manipulative, such as the recken recks, fraction cubes, magnetic ten frames, wooden multiplication table, and the place value flip chart, have help my students build their understanding in many mathematic areas. These materials encourage thinking when solving problems and also allows ways for students to show their thinking.
The biggest addition to our classroom is the Osmo pieces. These pieces have drawn students in to learning about number relationships, the values of numbers, how Tangrams work, and most importantly brought learning fun into our classroom in a new way.
I cannot thank our donors enough for your support! Thanks you a million times over for support students and their learning.”

Funded Jan 30, 2019Thank you so much for your kind donations. With the materials that we received, students have a variety of books for small group reading, they have workbooks to go with our phonics program, and we have the materials for our smart board. I have students grow in their love of reading with these new materials. They are excited when getting to read in the new books that we received. The books focus on sounds that we have been working on in reading and writing. The workbooks are colorful and student enjoy working in them.”

Young Scientists Need Supplies!
Funded Feb 16, 2018Thank you so much for this opportunity the you gave my students. They had an experience of a life time. We would count down the days until our chicks would hatch. We watched videos and read books that showed what the embryos looked like on each day of the count down. The students had a great time candling the eggs and got so excited when they saw the chicks move inside. We counted and waited, until one day we heard a cheep inside one of the eggs. The next day when we came in, we had 4 chicks in the incubator. The students were so excited. We live streamed onto the smart board so the students could watch the chicks hatch out, in real time. They even got to watch the chicks dry off and walk around inside the incubator. We now have them in their pen. Students are learning a lot of responsibility cleaning their cage, feeding them, and watering them. We have been listening to the chicks while we work and it is so great to see the smiles on their faces. Students have finished some writing projects to go along with the chick hatching process. We even did journal entries as we watch the chicks grow. One day the students for their journal entry wrote bout the loss of one of the chicks. This was a hard lesson for many of them. However, it was an important one for them. I can not thank you enough (as I sit here with tears in my eyes) for this amazing experience that you allowed my students to have!”
