    Thank you so much for donating to my project "An Apple for the Teacher". I really appreciate you helping my students and I along our reading journey. With our new iPad, we are able to cast our UFLI phonics lessons from the iPad to the Smart Board. I am allowed to remain in the front of the classroom during our whole group lesson, instead of walking back and forth from my computer hub to the Smartboard.

    The students are really enjoying this new technology and we greatly appreciate your support.

  • Carpet Time Around the World

    Thank you so much for funding my Carpet of the World!! We are in great need here in Virginia. My children will be so excited!! We have never received a gift like this before. It feels like the words "Thank You" don't even begin to show my appreciation. Thank you again and we look forward to many "Worldly Travels" on our carpet.

    I will be able to use our new carpet in theory today as we travel to Africa to learn about Deserts and Desert Regions!

I am the reading specialist for a school full of energetic k-5th grade students. My school and students are mostly on free and reduced lunch. Most of my students live in apartment complexes that are one step above section 8 housing. My children really want to learn and I want to do the best I can for them. They are in a high-need community. I currently buy most of the materials needed for a class project.
