Despite teachers' attempts to make learning fun, students are arriving to school tired, hungry and disinterested. They have little or no desire to learn new skills. It is up to educators to help our students discover the wonderful world of learning! The resources I have requested include fun, hands-on activities to help my younger students learn the basics of reading-phonics and sight words. They love to read books, especially Big Books! Corduroy is our favorite and we would love to listen to this old fav on CD. These students are our future leaders and each one has the potential to impact the world, and it all starts in the classroom. Having brand new materials in our class will really keep the students engaged, focused, and enthusiastic towards education! It Takes a Village.......
