Marvelous Mathematicians
Funded Dec 23, 2018Due to your generous donation to our classroom, we are able to do so much with our iPad! Students are playing literacy games on it to improve reading skills. We are also using it for RTI time for students to practice skills in the areas of math and reading to help with skills that students need extra practice in. They have enjoyed having it so much. It has become an important part of our classroom that we simply couldn't do without. The iPad is used on a daily basis and students can't wait to do activities on it. They are learning and having fun at the same time! Thank you for helping us get this important piece of technology to use in our classroom!”

Funded Mar 9, 2018A humble thank you feels so inadequate to express how grateful my class and I are for your donations to our class. Our new Barracuda System has been a welcomed addition to our classroom, and we feel much safer knowing it is here. We recently had a real lock-down in our building, and I felt very fortunate to have the Barracuda System installed and ready to use. My students felt protected, and I felt confident knowing that no harm would come to them as long as we were barricaded. Thank you so much for caring about my students in helping to keep them safe during such a scary time.”

Sharpening Our Reading Skills
Funded Jul 8, 2017This project has had a HUGE impact on the students in my classroom! We use the Chromebooks any time that we like for RTI activities for reading and math in the classroom. I often put students on Lexia who are early finishers, or I can also pull students who are struggling and provide them with enrichment games and activities in reading and math that they are struggling with. It is wonderful to put students on an educational "game" where they don't realize they are struggling, but instead they feel like it is a reward. Plus, they get to learn on their own terms.
Speaking of rewards, I can also reward students who have done fantastic jobs throughout the week with fun time on the Chromebooks. They work extra hard toward their weekly goals when they feel like they have an incentive to look forward to. They love the "white computers" and ask each day who will get to be the lucky ones to work on them. My class appreciates the donations more than words can say. Thank you doesn't cover the appreciation we have for this wonderful donation to further learning in our classroom! We are so very thankful for the new technology we have access to in our classroom!"

Funded Dec 15, 2016This project has had a HUGE impact on the students in my classroom! We use the Chromebooks several times a week for enrichment/RTI activities in the classroom. Students have made great strides in Lexia because of having more access to the program since receiving these Chromebooks. I often put students on Lexia who are early finishers, or I can also pull students who are struggling and provide them with enrichment games and activities in reading and math that they they are struggling with. It is wonderful to put students on an educational "game" where they don't realize they are struggling, but instead they feel like it is a reward. Plus they get to learn on their own terms. I can also reward students who have done fantastic jobs throughout the week with fun time on the Chromebooks. They love having free time to play educational games as a reward for hard work. They work extra hard toward their weekly goals when they feel like they have an incentive to look forward to. They love the "white computers" and ask each day who will get to be the lucky ones to work on them. My class appreciates the donations more than words can say. Thank you doesn't cover the appreciation we have for this wonderful donation to further leaning in our classroom! We are so very thankful for the new technology we have access to in our classroom!"”
