They are free to work on their work on Google Classroom, play educational games on Khan Academy Kids, and complete lessons on iReady. They love the iPads and ask me all the time if they could use them. I plan on using this tool to teach them about documenting their work with photos and how to explore the world using the new tool. Being in Los Angeles, my students do not get many opportunities to see wild like and plants grow from seed to full plant. Along with that, we do not experience seasons like other students may be able to.   • Chair Pockets

    Thank you for your kind donation! My students love their chair pockets and it helps with the flow of the school day beautifully! They now get to feel a sense of responsibility with their math workbooks, writing folders, headphones and social studies books. You have helped to make their school day more productive and helped them learn about being responsible for their own things. It also helps them with staying organized and keeping the classroom clean. During the school year, students need to be able to access their supplies as quickly as possible to ensure they stay focused during learning. At my school, the desks used for my grade level do not have cubbies in the desks. For some activities, I need to store the notebooks/workbooks in another space away from their desks, so my students need to use their precious learning time to go and grab the supplies that they need. During this time, some students may loose focus on the task at hand or they may become distracted by their classmates. Having these chair pockets will make it so that my students do not need to leave their desks to grab what they need and will save them time during the learning day.
