  • Kindergarten Assessment Software Needed

    Funded Dec 5, 2018

Thank you so much for providing this software to our Kindergarten classroom. We are so thankful for your support and can't wait to tell you about how we are making and meeting individual goals with this program. This program will allow us to pinpoint the exact needs of the students in our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Wanted: Carpet for Kinders! We Need Your Help!

    Funded Feb 25, 2015

Thank you for the kindness and generosity you showed by donating to our classroom project. It has been a TREMENDOUS help already. Our read-a-louds are so much more productive now that the students have assigned spots and don't have to worry about who they are going to sit next to. I no longer have to keep a watchful eye for "seat shifters" who would try and move spots several times during a lesson. We have also enjoyed playing letter games on the carpet. We have used it to review letters, sounds, and beginning sounds. I can't thank you enough for giving to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Kinders Get Excited about Reading!

    Funded Jan 9, 2015

Thank you for donating to our project! We have enjoyed our subscription to Ticket to Read so far. My students use it during guided reading daily and also during our computer lab once a week. They also can use it at home! They love playing the reading games and earning tokens to buy toys. I have already seen improvements in their sight word recognition, letters, and sounds. I have never seen them so excited to practice their sight words. My EL students are also benefiting from the program's visuals. I have seen such improvement in their letters and sounds since they have begun using Ticket to Read.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Kinders Want to Be Ship Shape!

    Funded Dec 19, 2013

My class and I would like to thank you for supporting us in our effort to master our shapes. With the books and games that you sent us we have been able to make learning about the shapes a fun and interactive process. We have been able to hold and count the sides and corners. We have been able to compare the shapes to one another. My students have become experts on shapes and it is all thanks to you. Your kindness and generosity has made the subject of shapes come alive. None of that would have ever been possible without you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Kinders Need a Little Bit of Privacy, Please!

    Funded Dec 29, 2013

My students and I want to thank you for your kind and generous donation to our class. With the privacy folders you donated to our classroom you are insuring that the data being recorded in our classroom is accurate. It has been wonderful to not have to worry about wandering eyes. It has kept my students from being tempted to peak off of their neighbors papers.

We have been so excited to use these items. With the bean bags we have been able to make our reading corner a great place for private reading time.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Help Kinders Rock Classroom Management and Behavior

    Funded Oct 16, 2013

Thank you for the kindness and generosity you have shown me and my students. The social skill story books have been a lifesaver and the focus of our social studies these past few weeks. We have put an emphasis on being polite and kind. It has done wonders for our classroom environment and independent work time.

Center time is one of our favorite times of day and before it lacked organization. With our new chart we are now ready to go everyday. We all know which center we go to and what to do there.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Let's Make Learning Sensorysational!

    Funded Sep 3, 2013

Thank you for helping us to achieve our classroom project! We have loved the wonderful educational songs and videos. They have made learning fun and sensory filled. The students have been so excited to be up dancing and singing during math, reading, and character building time. In Kindergarten moving, singing, and doing is a essential part of retaining information. We will be retaining all kinds of information thanks to you! I catch the children singing the number and sightwords songs throughout the day. It is so great to see them make the connections between the songs we sing and the topics we are learning about. Thank your generosity to us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Help Us Learn Sight Words And Build Vocabulary!

    Funded Aug 2, 2013

Thank you for contributing to our project. My students have loved the wonderful new books. These books have helped us to practice sightwords and vocabulary, we have used them during our center time, during our read to ourselves time, and during our reading with a buddy time. It is so exciting for me to hear my kids saying, "Look I see the word "the" and other sightwords that we have been working on and are now in our books! Your generosity and kindess will help not only my students this year, but for years to come. You are helping to ensure that they end the year reading on or above grade level.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Help Build Our Listening Library

    Funded Apr 18, 2013

Thank you for your kind donation to our classroom. My students were so excited to receive the listening center materials. It is one of their favorite activities. When they saw we had some brand new stories to read they were delighted. With these materials my students will gain new language ability and vocabulary. This is especially helpful to my students who are not native English speakers. They will also be able to hear proper fluency modeled for them. The stories also provide them an opportunity to show their knowledge of story content, such as characters, setting, main ideas, and events that happen in the story. We can't wait to get started.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.

  • Help Us Organize Our Library

    Funded Jun 11, 2013

Thank you for your wonderful contribution to our classroom. My students were so excited when the big boxes of parts came in. When all the shelves and book bins were assembled they surrounded it immediately the next morning asking what it was for. I told them it would help us find our books easier when we wanted to read and they clapped! It has made a world of difference for us. My students are now able to easily pick a book that interests them and is on their reading level. We feel so grateful for the kind and generous people like you out there in the world!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. W.
