Busy Chairs for Busy Bodies
Funded Nov 1, 2017I can't thank all of you who donated to my project enough. My students just loved the chairs and thrived. They were able to focus more in class because they were moving their bodies while sitting in the chairs. I can't wait to see my next crew of students get to benefit from the chairs.
So many of my students struggle with being able to sit still during class which really impacts their ability to learn in their classes. But when students are able to allow their body to be busy they can focus on their lessons. As a result, students are able to move forward with their educations and gain confidence in the classroom.”

Wiggly Chairs for Wiggly Bodies
Funded Feb 28, 2019Many of the students in my class don't realize it but their bodies are in constant motion which makes it very difficult to sit in a desk for long periods of time. The wiggle chairs allow students to move around but also keep focused on the academic task at hand for longer periods of time. With longer focused time, more learning takes place. When students are able to be comfortable in their chairs its leads to a more relaxed environment which is best for all types of learners.
Thank you all so very much for your donations and support of my students both current and future students.”

Funded Mar 6, 2017Your generosity has given my students the chance to access new literature providing them with new subject matter. After teaching the unit and reflecting on its impact on the kids, I'm so happy to retort that they took my lesson much father then I intended to. They were consumed with wanting to know more and more about the subject matter of the book. I have now started to research other graphic novels that will provide my students with new material to learn.
During the unit, students were given access to visuals for WWII. "MAUSE" gave them a chance to see how the Holocaust impacted real people and how it's terror can still be seen in those who heard about it from the older relatives. I can not put into words wonderful it was to watch them gain a much deeper level of understanding for a terrible tragedy in our history.”

Earbuds to help My Students Learn
Funded Oct 3, 2016It is with great pleasure that I thank all if the donors who supported my class. Since getting the ear buds my students have been able to work independently on programs which they were not able to prior to. The ear buds are used on a daily basis. Many of the students have even borrowed them to use in other classes. With so many of my students having attentions difficulties, being able to listen to music while they work, has truly helped them to focus on their work and get the most out of the time in class. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much.”
