  • Collaborating Regardless of Learning Location!

    Funded Mar 18, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to my students and classroom during this difficult time. Chromebooks are a hot commodity right now. With my STEM students being both face-to-face and virtual, we try to bridge the gap as much as possible. The chromebook that you helped fund has been utilized to Zoom with virtual classmates as well as complete collaborative assignments like Google Docs, Google Slides, PBL, Quizizz, etc. This chromebook has brought joy to my students. They get so excited when they are able to collaborate together. Thank you for being a part of that.”

  • Study.com for Virtual Learners

    Funded Dec 18, 2020

This has been an absolutely crazy school year, but donors like you have helped to make it just a little bit easier! Study.com has been a very helpful resource to help with planning for both my face-to-face students as well as my virtual students. Study.com has great explanations that are simple enough that students can understand them on their own as well as awesome videos that make learning easy and fun. Thank you so much for helping to bring study.com to my students. It has helped easy the transition with hybrid learning.”

  • Hybrid Classrooms During COVID19

    Funded Sep 30, 2020

Thank you do much for your generous donations. It is such a huge deal to be able to add a chromebook to our classroom. We are incredibly excited to have such a valuable tool in our classroom. Thank you again for your generosity! We will now be able to research and complete our daily tasks with more ease. This chromebook will help students in the class that do not have access to a device. Almost all of our campus devices have been passed out to students who are doing their learning from home. This chromebook will allow us to continue to use educational technology in the classroom. Thank you again for helping me to be able to continue to create engaging, technology-driven lessons that will allow my students to learn about Texas History in a fun way.”

  • How Do We Pick Who Is In Charge? VOTE!

    Funded Oct 8, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity when you donated towards our class's Dell Chromebook. We have had it for a couple weeks, and we use it daily. It has been a great addition to our classroom. We were able to research the popular vote and how the electoral college works because the students were struggling to understand why they didn't learn who the president would be on Election Day. It was a very good learning experience for the students. It was a nice introduction to civics for them. Thank you for being part of it and seeing the value of teaching kids civics at a young age.”

  • Teaching Teens to Research Election Candidates! It's Their Civic Duty!

    Funded Oct 10, 2020

Thank you guys so much for your very generous donations. We have had our Dell chromebook for a couple of weeks now, and we have already made great use of it. Thank you so much for seeing the value that this Dell chromebook can bring to our classroom. My students were able to learn about the electoral college in real-time. They did not understand why the popular vote did not determine the president and why we had to wait to learn who our new president was. This Dell Chromebook allowed them to research and learn in order to understand this real-world question. Thank you so much for being part of that!”

  • Teaching Teens to Vote!

    Funded Oct 10, 2020

We got in our awesome chromebook, case, and keyboard protector last week, and we have already been making use of them daily. Thank you so much for your generous donations. It is awe-inspiring to see so many people who have donated to my project for my students. My students were able to see and understand how the election votes were counted after learning about the electoral college and popular votes in class. They researched it on their own when they found out that didn't learn who their president was on Election Day. It was a real learning experience for them, and it wouldn't have been possible without your contribution towards our project.”

  • Teach Them to Vote!

    Funded Oct 14, 2020

Thank you so much to our donors that made such generous contributions to our classroom for a brand new Dell Chromebook, a case for it, as well as a keyboard cover to protect the investment. This chromebook has already proved to be a useful tool for teaching my students about the election process. They learned about the popular vote as well as the electoral college. They also discovered themselves why we didn't find out who our new president was on the Tuesday of Election Day. Thank you so much for thinking of our classroom and understanding the power of teaching kids about civics early!”

  • Go Vote... But For Who?

    Funded Oct 8, 2020

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations that have allowed my students to receive a brand new Dell chromebook for classroom use. We received the chromebook last week and were able to keep up-to-date with everything following the election. The students were able to do a little research because they did not understand why the election did not end on the Tuesday, Election Day. It was very eye-opening for them to follow what was happening in real-time and discover it for themselves through research. Thank you so much for being part of that experience.”

    Funded Mar 6, 2020

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful books that you have helped to provide for my classroom library. Not only are these books a great asset to my students, but they also help me hone my craft as well! My students are constantly accessing our classroom library, and now we have plenty of books that connect to our classroom curriculum. I have been so excited to share these books with my students, and the best part is that they will be here for future generations of students to read. • Charging into Our Brightest Future

    Funded Apr 24, 2020

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation. Our Tech Tub provides us with a safe place to make sure that our precious digital devices are charged. This year has been such a crazy school year so far. Almost all of our campus devices have been passed out to students for virtual, home use. The students who have chosen to come to class in person are left with practically no devices on campus. Thank goodness I have been able to get a handful of devices donated through donors, just like you. This tech tub ensures that we are able to stayed connected with our virtual counterparts and have some collaboration between in-class and virtual students. This tech tub is truly a blessing.”

I am one of the AVID elective teachers on my campus as well as the AVID Site Coordinator. AVID is a class, but it is also a schoolwide program that utilizes a curriculum based on an acronym called WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading). AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing ALL students for college readiness and success in a global society. My students tend to come from socio-economically disadvantaged families where they are the first in their family to go to college. My students truly are advancing via their individual determination.
