In Reading Workshop, my students study the American Revolution! We have worked hard year after year to make this a very engaging unit. This unit teaches children how to read nonfiction through the use of a variety of books about this very important historical time period. By implementing the Reader's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true readers and researchers. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long readers. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement in this very important historical event, but you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement as life long learners!
