  • Keeping Up in 2nd

    Funded Aug 6, 2021

Thank you for donating to our classroom. We are very grateful for the materials you have provided that will make learning more fun and exciting. Your kindness is appreciated. We love having the Scholastic News to read every week in our classroom. We have learned about holidays, important people and places, and various other exciting topics that help us understand the world around us. Recently, we learned about Veteran's Day and its importance. With this being an election year, we read about why the Election is important and different interesting facts about going to the polls with an adult. Students thought it was really cool that they could go with their parents and get a sticker. The Scholastic Readers are amazing and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to use these in our classroom. Thank you!”

  • Becoming Book Lovers

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

My students were so excited to receive the books that you donated to our classroom library. We have been able to use them in so many ways. These books have been used for read-alouds, but students have also been excited to read them independently. It has really encouraged reading independently in our classroom.

First, a lot of the books helped teach about character traits and building a strong classroom community. We are a family in our classroom, so we have to exhibit characteristics of a good family who cares for one another. It has also encouraged conversations about how to treat one another and how to take care of our classroom supplies.

The books provided have also been used to go along with the skills and topics that we are covering in our 2nd/3rd grade classroom. We have been able to learn additional information about various topics through these interesting books.

We cannot thank you enough for helping us learn and grow this school year and for giving us books that make us excited about reading. Thank you!”

  • Virtual Learning Made Easier

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

My students and I were so excited to receive our much-needed supplies for our classroom during this crazy time in history. It has been very challenging this school year learning from home and in the classroom. Although my students have adjusted well, it has been challenging because they have missed a great deal of in-person learning. My students are very happy to be back in the classroom learning. The items provided with this funding have made this even more special. They love when they are rewarded for good behavior and hard work with the scented reward stickers provided. They have also been able to express their thoughts and feelings with the art supplies that were funded. Thank you very much for caring for my students and our classroom needs.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Freeman
