The students that I have will struggle with the transition from middle school to high school. Their struggles will be social, emotional and educational. The data from the district shows that there is a gap in our achievement and that retention is an issue that plagues the district. Your generous donation will allow for my students to get organized, have a reference book that will support their learning and make their learning more interesting. The hope is that by implementing these notebooks we will see retention increase which will help with the achievement gap. Hopefully it will decrease test taking anxiety and the dread of going to school daily.
