Creating a classroom that is comfortable and enriching to my students is my ultimate goal. Reading is such a huge part of education and will be so in my classroom as well. While I have begun to collect books here and there for my classroom, the books that will come from your donation will provide variety and allow the students an opportunity to explore different kinds of books. I hope for a comfortable space for my students to read and have included a rug with the many books to add to that feeling. Your generous donation will help me to improve my first grade classroom in so many ways. I have included items to help in centers, small group and whole group. I have requested lap boards and dry erase markers for all subjects, writing claws for training their little hands to hold a pencil, and much more! Activities such as the sight word daily activity will be for students to complete every morning. Many of the items on my list are thought out thoroughly to allow me to have an organizational system that will provide consistency to the children's learning. The classroom easel will be used for a variety of reasons for years to come, like morning meetings, small group activities and more! It's versatility is endless. I believe that having a comfortable classroom will allow me to be more relaxed in my position and encourage my future students to be so as well. I can not wait to meet my first ever firstie's and begin this journey with them with YOUR help!
