  • Reading or Civil Rights

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Thank you so much for donating and giving my students the gift of books. I can't wait to read this with my students.

We will be getting ready to launch our social studies unit on the Civil Rights Movement. It will be great to integrate this book into our reading classes as well. The story of these three strong women is so powerful, I know my students will really enjoy reading about them and their heroic story.

We will also be completing some compare and contrast work by watching the movie after we have finished the book! Again, thank you so much for putting these books in the hands of my students.”

  • Mini Science Fair Scholars

    Funded Sep 9, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. The students are having a blast researching and designing their projects on their boards!

Many of my students are low functioning but still have a love of science and learning. They would not have been able to participate in the school science fair but are really enjoying researching and putting together their project. They have been using their iPad's to research information about their chosen ecosystem and placing what they have learned on their boards.

Thanks again for giving my class the love of learning and researching about science!”

  • Essentials Restocked for Super Students

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project. Now more than ever, students are coming to school without even the basic materials needed to be successful. Many students start the school year with even the basics of paper and pencils, let alone colored pencils, glue, and scissors.

Even though I teach middle school, we still complete activities that are hands on that the students need art supplies such as glue, scissors, etc. The students are really excited to have these materials available so they don't feel like they are being left out due to lack of supplies.

Thank you so much again for making these supplies available for my students. It is appreciated.”

  • Non-Fiction Novels

    Funded Jul 22, 2023

Thank you so much for helping me with this project. I have started reading this novel with some classes and they are loving it so far. The text is teaching them not only basic reading and retelling skills that are part of our standards, but it is also showing them a great example of non-fiction writing.

This story is full of trials and triumphs as it follows Louie Zamperini in his quest for fulfillment and self-growth. He exhibits what it truly means to be knocked down and then being able to pick yourself up and go on!

What a great story! Thanks again for making this possible for my students.”

  • Super Student Supplies

    Funded Jan 8, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students are a group of hard working sixth graders. They are eager learners and want to do well, whatever the task.

By the time we get to mid-year, many of the "new" school supplies purchased at the beginning of the year are long gone or are on their last leg. Many of the folders, pencils, and coloring utensils needs to be replaced. It is hard to make sure those items last all year long.

With the help of this project and your generous donations, these items can be replaced and the students will have supplies that will last them right up until the final day of school.”

  • School Supplies for Student Success

    Funded Sep 14, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom so my students could have just the basic supplies. These things are often overlooked when most students are heading back to school. Many of them come to school unprepared and they don't even have items needed to be successful. Even in middle school there is a need for crayons and it is helpful when the students have those supplies. Thank you again for helping my students have the necessary materials to be successful. The generosity that you have shown is truly appreciated.”

  • Sensational Stories

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to help my students attain the materials for this project. We have read the story and the students absolutely loved the story being told and how the young characters were able to persevere and complete this journey. They especially enjoyed the twist at the end that brought the final closure for them both. Again, they thank you for bringing this relevant, important story to them through this project. This would not have been possible without your generous donations.”

  • Perfect Poets

    Funded Feb 14, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my project. The students usually dislike learning about and reading poetry. I have found that if I make learning these things more interactive and involve them in the process, they are more open to the idea of poetry and figurative language. They have truly enjoyed learning about each type and then searching for ideas and examples to use in their books. I have also found that they are more likely to then try to write their own poems. Thanks again for making this project possible. I can't wait to see the finished products!”

  • Getting Back to Learning

    Funded Jul 26, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations. I really appreciate your kindness. After the last year and a half, it has been great to get back into the classroom and some sort of normal routine with my students again. It was so great to be able to give them the basic supplies they needed to start the year off right.

We have already used so many of these basic things to get back into learning and completing assignments. The folders and paper have been especially helpful as we are trying to complete more paper/pencil assignments in math! It has been a great start to the year so far!”
