Maximizing Space and Tech
Funded Dec 7, 2020This iPad has allowed me to assist students while maintaining social distancing recommendations and protocol. With this iPad, I have shared my screen using Apple's "Side Car" feature; I have been able to assist students with issues like time management using calendar applications, and found useful applications to help some with organization. Since students use many online platforms in their different classes, they can come to me when needed and get caught up using the iPad; using it with the Magic Trackpad has basically given my students a computer to use in my office!
Producing content and videos has been made easier with the iPad - I have created videos and edited them using the iPad, creating lasting resources for students and their families. Just recently, I was able to use this iPad and the Magic Trackpad during our Annual College Night for Junior Families - the event was held virtually this year and we needed all the technological equipment we could use! I was able to present with my desktop and use my iPad to manage the rest of the program. I am so grateful for your generosity.”

Funded Jul 26, 2018What many people don't know is that there has been a great shift in the use of technology in education over the years. Technology has been flooding schools, making learning and other educational services accessible to students in unspeakable ways. These iPads have allowed us more mobility in the school, thus increasing our presence and visibility among the student body.
A quick contact may seem like nothing, but with some students it allows us to quickly build rapport, letting them know there is always someone there to help. In school counseling, 85% or more of our day is responsive services. This technology allows us to use that other 15% to get one step ahead. With your help, we have been able to continue creating new ways to bring our counseling services to our students. Thank YOU, for allowing this to happen!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Magbagbeola
