New Supplies for 2024!
Funded Dec 29, 2023Thank you so much for funding our project for new school supplies.
We had such a busy school year in first grade. We did a lot of different projects full of cutting, gluing and creating. We learned, explored, and studied the world around us.
Our first graders have grown so much academically, socially, and emotionally. They have worked so hard and finished the year off strong as they get ready to transition to 2nd grade.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our classroom and allowing us to grow!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cohen

Funded Dec 19, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my students this year.
They were so excited to help me unpack the box and discover all of the new games!
We have been learning how to play each game during phonics centers. My students are engaged, working together, and having so much fun - they don't even realize that they are actively learning!
The sensory foam is the top choice for Fun Friday. They are obsessed! They love to mold it to create sculptures and play pretend chefs.
I am so grateful for your generosity. We are so lucky!”

Center Time Is the Best Time
Funded Jan 11, 2019I can't say thank you enough. These academic games are just what we needed. Not only do they foster independence but they allow my students to practice their skills! They continuously amaze me with their academic and emotional growth.
My favorite part about Donors Choose is telling my students that people donate their money so that we could have materials. Trust me when I say that your kindness does not go unnoticed or unmeasured. They are amazed that people do this for them. It is so important to teach kindness and generosity at such a young age - but even more meaningful to teach it to kids that grow up in poverty and broken homes. My special learners seek love and acceptance.
Thank you for helping me give that to them.”

New Classroom, New Items
Funded Aug 14, 2018We LOVE these resources. They have seriously transformed our classroom!
The seat sacks are just what my kids needed to stay organized! They keep their book baggies full of their independent books, their writing folders, their math journals, and word booklet in there. It maximizes the space in our classroom and allows for smoother transitions! Now to just get them to keep it organized.... :)
The printer is extremely useful. No more waiting for an open computer to print 1 page! It allows for me to be responsive to my students academic needs by printing out a worksheet on the spot. I even use it for emotional needs! Yesterday I de-escalated one of my students with special needs by having her work towards earning a Princess coloring page. It was Cinderella, if you were wondering.
As always, thank you so much for donating. My students are so in need of materials and I am so grateful for your support. My classroom is a better place because of you!”

Ms. Cohen
Firsties Need More Supplies!
Funded Mar 27, 2018My students love these supplies and they are staples in our daily routine. They LOVE to use the soft seats as a flexible seating choice during center time when they are using the iPads, magnatiles are the top favorite during free choice time, and all of the extra supplies are extremely useful. We use the dry erase markers and erasers EVERY DAY! It is so nice to be able to have a large amount and not have to worry about running out. I am so grateful for all who have donated and supported my classroom by providing new materials. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!”

Funded May 10, 2018It's been a while! I received my materials during the last school year and are continuously using them for this year. My students LOVE these materials and are even more excited to know that people donated money so that they could have them!
The bouncy bands really help my students to move their bodies without distracting themselves or others from their work. Our weighted dolphin is a favorite way to relax our bodies too! Our wobble cushion is also extremely helpful in giving sensory input to those who need it - while also building their core!
Thank you so much for every $ spent no matter the amount. We are so grateful for your support in growing our classroom. ”
