Book Lovers Unite: Nerdy Book Club Part 4
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you for the influence you are having on students in my classroom! The continuation of this book club has been something that my students and I all look forward to each month. Sitting down together and discussing the impact of the novels we read has been very inspiring and encouraging.
Though small, the book club is continuing to thrive throughout the acquisition of new novels and discussions we have about these novels. This community of learners has proven to make lasting friendships between these students who all share this commonality. It's been delightful to see them welcome each other and develop their new friendships.
Again, I thank you for your kindness in supporting this book club. The impact you have on my students is beyond infinite.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Byars

Funded Feb 22, 2022I want to personally thank you for your donation to aid in my classroom library to help students expand their minds and thinking. I am excited that my students are thoroughly enjoying what they are reading and that it is helping them to see a bigger world than what they live in. This is also helping my non-readers to become more involved in the reading process as they are now discovering new characters and worlds that they are interested in. I am delighted that as soon as this box arrived, my students took the books from me and started reading them and passing them around. So far, six of the novels have already been checked out!
I am thankful to be able to have an environment in my room that is surrounded by new novels that inspire my students to read more than they did before. It is very encouraging to see students who previously had no interest now request that I get more. I will be letting my students put together a list of things they would like to read and see on my shelves in order to get them more involved in this process.
Thank you again for your kindness with your contribution to my classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Byars

Book Lovers Unite: B's Nerdy Book Club
Funded Jan 25, 2017I want to personally thank you for your donation to begin this Nerdy Book Club! We have already had two meetings about these novels and are currently reading our third. The students love the novels and the community of readers around them. The word is spreading quickly about this club and I have to turn kids away unless they can find their own copies of the novels in order to join us on the days we have conversations.
I am so very thankful for being able to help create a new learning environment for students who already love reading and help them develop, nourish, and support this love. As a teacher, it is beyond exciting to watch students actively discuss common novels and give their opinions in a safe environment in which they can make new friends and not be judged. I cannot wait to continue with this club for the remainder of the school year as well as take on new students next year.
Again, thank you for your kindness—you'll never fully understand the impact you've made on a group of students for the rest of their lives.”

Ms. Byars
