Most students, in this day in age, need to move while they learn. Sometimes, movement is the only way a child can focus to stay engaged in a lesson or activity. This seems even more true for students with disabilities. Flexible seating in classrooms is an excellent solution for this type of engagement.
Different students need different types of movement while they learn. Some may work best using a wobble chair or stability disk, while another student may work best using a band to kick against while sitting in a desk.
With the help of our generous donors, we will be able to wiggle while we learn. Please help me to get my students the flexible seating options we need (wobble chairs, stability disks, and resistance bands to put on chair legs) to be engaged and successful in our classroom.
