  • Reading Doesn't Stop While We're at Home!

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

The materials in this project have enhance my students at home learning greatly! Students are able to have a hands on experience through a computer screen, something they might not have gotten otherwise. They also now have access to books at home, with libraries closed this is something critical for them. Especially leveled reading books. It has allowed them to continue to progress despite the global pandemic. Students regularly use stamps, play doh, paper, pencils, white boards, and other materials to enhance their learning while buildings are closed. Thank you so much.”

  • Title 1 Students Need Your Help!

    Funded Jun 9, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom! My students were so excited when I dropped off their new supplies to their homes. They have spent their time engaged in books, doing math work, and completing other assigned work with ease because of the different supplies you provided them! The students got their own headphones and markers too, which made them more eager to learn because they "finally had their own supplies and didn't have to share anymore!" During this hard time, I was afraid students would no longer remain engaged in learning and sit in front of a TV. But thanks to amazing individuals like you - they continued to learn even while away from online sessions!”

    Ms. Talbot

My students range in age and ability, within our small self contained classroom we have students with different abilities but to me, they are all incredible in their own way. Being their teacher is such an honor and I love to see them understand a topic that we may have been working on for weeks. When they enter my classroom, they know they are safe, loved and cared for. Some of these students do not have access to the internet at home, which also means they lack certain technical skills. When they enter my class, they know they will be learning 21st-century skills to prepare them for the future. Most importantly, they learn who they are as individuals, as learners, and as kids. Being a Kindergarten teacher means you set the tone for the rest of their schooling, with your help, we can get them started on the right track to being the best they can be and have a true love of school!
