  • We Built This City!

    Funded May 27, 2024

Thank you for supporting my classroom. These Legos and Lego plates were added to our centers to help build a Lego wall.

Our curriculum includes a play-based portion of our day. The new Lego wall allows students to use Legos to create words and numbers during centers. The road and community pieces allow students to build cities relating to our community unit. We work on the parts of these cities throughout the year until we have an entire community.

Thank you again for supporting my classroom!”

  • Summer Success Kits!

    Funded May 27, 2024

Thank you for supporting Kindergarten at our school. These materials allowed us to send each Kindergarten student home with a backpack full of supplies to help maintain their learning over the summer!

Students brought home journals and markers to write about what they did during the summer. They also got chalk and playdoh to help practice math and sight words. Paint and bubbles were included to to add a little fun to the summer.

Your generous donations made it possible for our students to have practice materials they may have not had at some this summer.”

  • Literacy Leads the Way!

    Funded Feb 4, 2024

Thank you for supporting my classroom! My students were so excited to see the boxes come in. They couldn't wait to start using the materials!

Many of my students are struggling with phonics and all of these materials have made them excited to start practicing. They love using the colored rice mixed with sand to write letters and words. The different textures help provide a multisensory approach to learning. We use the CVC trays and Play-doh to practice tapping out and spelling words. They love being able to use the mini chalkboards to write words. The paper and laminating sheets allowed me to create independent centers for students to work at while I am working with groups.

These materials are used daily in my classroom and have increased engagement. Thank you again for helping me teach furture leaders and readers!”

  • We Can Hear Clearly Now!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Thank you for supporting my classroom! We use our iPads daily for the digital portion of our curriculums. Students use iPads to complete math games that focus on the skills they need support with. Students also use iPads to read leveled text and complete a phonics program that is tailored to their level.

When I took out the new headphones my students were so excited. They love that they fold up and were excited to have their own pair with their own number. I was excited that they are easy to store and include a microphone for when students record themselves for projects!

These headphones will be used daily and seem sturdy enough to last for years to come. Thank you again!”

  • Books to Go!

    Funded Apr 30, 2022

Thank you for your generosity! These materials have made it possible for my students to read leveled texts at home. As soon as these books and materials came in, I got right to work labeling them to be sent home. Each of my students was able to take home 5 books a week for the last 2 months of school.

As soon as the books went home, the parents immediately sent me messages saying they appreciated the books. My students came to school excited that they were able to read to their families at home without any help! Being able to practice reading on an appropriate level allows my students to build their confidence and that showed.

The books, folders, and pouches are ready and waiting to go home with my students after our first round of literacy testing! Thank you again for making a positive impact on the lives of my students!”

  • Kindergarteners Need To Play!

    Funded Jan 15, 2020

I can't thank you enough for your donations. My kids were so excited. I had opened the Amazon box during my lunch but didn't have time to open each box of furniture. I could see my students looking over at the boxes by the dollhouse all afternoon. They couldn't wait to open them. I had planned on unpacking everything after school but 2 of my girls came up during indoor recess and asked if they could open the boxes. I sat down and opened everything while they decided where everything went. They loved being a part of the setup.

Since then, all of my students love the dollhouse. Different kids play with it each day. We use it during recess and during our open work time. We recently brought play centers back into the classroom and we call them open work. During open work, we are focusing on the community. The dollhouse and dolls fit perfectly into that. The kids will even take the dolls and "drive" them to other places built in the block center.

The dolls and furniture have had a huge impact on my students. What seems like a simple toy has given my students the opportunity to interact, socialize, and most importantly pretend!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fleming

  • Super Kindergarteners!

    Funded May 8, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to our classrooms. The kindergarten students at our school deserved to be celebrated for their hard work and flexibility during the pandemic.

As teachers, we were excited for supplies to come in. We used the vinyl to put each students' initial on the back of the cape. We then packed up the capes and certificates and mailed them out to our students.

The parents messaged us as soon as their child received the package to thank us. We received pictures and spoke to many of our kids about how excited they were. Over and over we heard "I am a real superhero now!"

This simple gesture put a smile on our students' faces during such an uncertain time. Thank you again for being a part of this gesture. You helped make the day of 65 children!”

  • Flexible Seating for Flexible Learning!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for helping our classroom get wobble stools. As soon as they were delivered to the classroom, I put them together and my students started using them! A few had used similar stools the previous year and they were beyond excited to have them again! The rest of the class was very curious.

I had planned to use them at my small group table, but everyone kept asking to bring them to their seats! I immediately saw an increase in focus while sitting on the stools. They turned out to be more beneficial as seats than at the table. We quickly discovered who needed them the most and the rest of the class was respectful of that. I was amazed to see how understanding and considerate my students were with the use of these stools.

A few weeks after receiving the stools we began end of the year testing. These stools were a lifesaver during state testing. In a classroom where students are used to working where they are comfortable, sitting silently at a desk during testing can be a struggle. The stools made all the difference. The students who struggled to sit still were able to move without distracting others.

These stools were a game changer in my classroom! We are so appreciative of the generous donations that made it happen. I can't wait to continue using these stools in future years!”
