Having an iPad Pro in my classroom would make a world of difference for my students. My students would be able to interact with technology on a daily basis and extend their learning. I have a couple of students who do not have access to technology at home, so what we get to do at school is the only experience they have with it. Our world is a technology-powered world, so getting to use it at an early age will help them later on in life. Technology makes teaching to all student's learning styles more attainable. My classroom is made up of a diverse group of learners. Some students are visual learners, while many of my students learn best from hands-on learning. Technology would bring all learning styles to my lessons and would make our lessons much more interactive for students. I use a website that allows my students to create online portfolios to display projects and work they have made, for their parents. It takes a lot of time to currently upload their work, but with an iPad Pro in our classroom, we would be able to upload our work using an app. It would take less time and students would be able to independently share their work and take ownership of what they have done more than what we are able to now. I would use the iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, keyboard and case to teach reading and math lessons as well as allow students to use the iPad to reinforce the skills they are working on. My students would be able to take quizzes and work on learning activities independently on the iPad. By using an iPad students would be able to have immediate feedback on a skill if I am working with a group and cannot meet with them at that moment.
