My students are diverse learners and are reading 2-3 grades below their peers. When browsing through their classroom library the selection is often sparse for books at their level. Many times when choosing books to read students will choose books that are at a reading level that is too complex for them, which results in them not being able to enjoy the text. With your donation students will be able to read books at their level and continue to engage with a character by engaging with them throughout a series. While reading these texts students will be able to work on various reading strategies and reading comprehension skills. Students will be able to build their relationships with their peers by holding book talks.
