We CRAFT in Kindergarten
Funded Feb 8, 2023Thank you so much for the craft supplies. My students loved being able to create something that would help them remember their learning. The crafts we made aligned with our math and science lessons.
We made kites with addition facts. We made monsters to help with subtraction. We even made kites for recess to use on a windy day. They loved it.
Being able to create and make things really gave them ownership of their learning. They were able to apply what they learned and was also able to tell someone else about it. Thank you so much for you gift. It was truly appreciated.”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for the school supplies. It has given all of my students a level playing field. They are able to pull out their supplies and complete their assignments in the classroom. Having these supplies in the classroom allowed parents to keep supplies purchased at home so homework and home connections could be completed. My students are eager to come to school knowing they have what they need in the classroom. My parents are very appreciated of all that you have done to make this a great year.”

Funded Dec 28, 2020Thank you so much for your help with this project. My students are now engaging in conversations. They are making plans and talking about what to do next. The items purchased have allowed me to plan more engaging activities for my students to work with during their center time, while at the same time continuing the academic learning that we are doing in the classroom.
We have created a cafe' in the classroom, where students are able to count coins, practice writing recipes, and menus. They take turns being the server, chef, and customer. The learning experiences they are having has truly help build their vocabulary.

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Kindergarten Gardening
Funded Mar 24, 2017When our boxes arrived they were so excited. We had team members from the neighbor hood come in to help them build and plant. They worked side by side, planning and planting the garden.
After receiving our resources, my students were so engaged in our learning about plants and the life cycle. They asked more questions and thought of ways to solve problems. Our gardening, expanded their horizons and they truly became critical thinkers.
Our plans are to keep our garden growing, looking for new things to plant as we engage in our environment and continue to learn more about science. This project helped us begin and pose "I wonder," questions and a new science station was formed.”

Read, Write, and Stamp It
Funded May 7, 2015I am so thankful for what you did for my class. My students have been able to work in small groups and are working on letters and sounds as they learn their sight words. They love working with the letters to stamp out their words each week. Being able to give them this hands on practice with words and letters has given them ownership of our classroom word wall and they are more confident in reading. They are seeing words everywhere. Now, they are writing stories and becoming authors in the classroom.”

Look Who's Reading Now: The Kindergarten Way
Funded Aug 6, 2013I am so excited about the books that you have donated to our class. My students are so excited about reading that they can't wait to get their hands on these books daily. This has helped so much, each child is able to take a book home every night, and the books are also added to their in school independent reading book baskets.
We have begun our reader's workshop and these are the books that they go for first. Learning how to touch and read is becoming an easy task. There is a book that has become each child's favorite. I personally love the fact that there are so many different levels. There is something for the child that is struggling with reading and something for the child that is soaring into reading.
I can not express to you how much these books have impacted my students. They spend time reading and not just flipping pages, they look for words that we have reviewed in class. They share what they are reading with their friends and with other teachers in the building. We are loving every minute of reading thanks to you.”

What's in A Name?
Funded Jul 18, 2012Thank you so much! We have now been in school for eighteen days and I have already begun to see progress in many of my students thanks to your generosity.
I have several students that did not know how to write or spell their names and now with the use of our magnetic letters, they are spelling and writing it on their own everyday.
My class enjoys using the letters in our ABC center as well as at their seats for general practice. The use of the manipulative has made a great difference. Thank you!”
