All Aboard The Alphabet Train!

The day we received our new classroom materials my students were so excited to open up the packages. It was like Christmas or a birthday celebration. The oooo's and awww's were so cute! From that day on my students are happy to use these new learning centers, Alphabet Tubs, File Folder Games, and Alphabet books.

Everyday during our morning meeting time we are using the Alphabet Tubs and Alphabet books to review the letters of the week. My students love seeing what items are inside the Alphabet tubs. They read the book with me. They even ask to play with them during their free choice time in the classroom.

I can already see an improvement in my students in the few short weeks we have had the Instant Learning Centers. These centers are so engaging that all of my students want to use that center first. The same is true for the file folder games. My students could sit with the same file folder game and Instant Learning Center the entire time of Literacy Centers. As a teacher, seeing them engaged and willing to learn warms my heart. I have also received several parent compliments in the last few weeks. Parents are even seeing a difference in their children.

The next step for my students is to keep learning and growing until the end of the school year. As for my new students coming in this fall, they will surely be All Aboard the Alphabet Train from the first day of school!
