  • Books, Books, and Storage

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

My students have been enjoying our multicultural books every day. We read them during large group time and during individual reading time. The children are learning so much about the many different cultures we have in our classroom and many others that we don't have. They are asking multiple questions regarding the books and I can gladly answer them with ease. I also get to enjoy reading about the different cultures as well. The organizers we received has also helped me stayed organized which helps when lesson planning. I can see at a glance what books I have and what topics need more books on. We greatly appreciate everything you have done to make this possible.”

  • Grocery Store

    Funded Aug 26, 2021

We can't thank you enough for your generous donations to our grocery store project. The kids are so excited to use the life-like fruits, vegetables, meats, and breads in our dramatic play area. They are super excited to have working cash registers to use while they are shopping at the grocery store in our room. The registers not only are fun to play with but the children are learning to recognize their numbers too. The children are learning that is costs money to buy things at the store with their play money we have. The kids are having so much fun with all of our new dramatic play items. Again, thank you so much!”

  • Shopping Time

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

I want to thank you for your generous donations to our Math literacy and dramatic play area. The students will be able to see how real money works and how to work to earn money. The children have already started this year off with a pizza parlor so these supplies will enhance the purchasing of pizzas and earning wages. The children will see first hand how difficult it is to earn money and maintain a household. It will also provide many hours of dramatic play area. I want to thank you again for your generous donations to this worthy project.”

The children will be able to have many hours of shopping play in our center. Some children will be able to do the shopping and the others can act our the grocery attendant. I can't wait until we do our unit on Community Helpers so the children will be able to understand the concept a little better. • Home Living Upgrade

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Our students were so excited to see the large box of home living items. Each time I opened a box their eyes just lit up. The play food looks almost like the real thing. The children play in our dramatic play area everyday due to the new items we have to play with. The battery powered appliances are a huge hit. I may have to replace the batteries often. The students are cooking up very creative meals and learning about foods they have never saw before. The conversations that occur in our dramatic play area has definitely increased since we received our new items. We greatly appreciate your generosity towards our project.”

  • Interactive Fun!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

I am extremely excited to use our new interactive white board pen. It has made an enormous impact on the time it takes to present a lesson. The pen has allowed me more time at the white board rather than going back and forth from my desk to change programs. It has also allowed the children to participate in the interactive learning I have been wanting to incorporate in my lessons. The children are able to see technology at work and an earlier age than I had. The children get excited when it is their turn to select an answer or use the other features it offers. The fun has only just begun. Thank you so much for your generosity in giving to this worthy cause.”

  • A Little Bit of Home

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

The lovely couch, chair, and ottoman has greatly increase activity in our dramatic play area. The children will sit in the living room and talk for what seems hours. They serve each other food while they are enjoying the softness of the furniture. It is so cute to see them sit in the chair and prop their feet up onto the ottoman. It is though they are adults after a long day's work. The furniture provides a comfortable space for them to just sit and relax, which is much better than hard floors and hard school chairs. I have even caught them sitting and reading books. Thank you so much for providing our students a little place like home!”

  • Exciting Stem Activities

    Funded Jan 21, 2021

My students and I are enjoying are STEM activity sets and Bee Bots. The students absolutely loved seeing the Bee Bots, especially in action. We had a week long robot themed lesson to which we talked about shapes and how shapes can be formed to make different items. The STEM activity set designed to reinforce shapes, shape names, and what shapes can create was a huge help when we created our own robots out of different shaped materials around our classroom. On Friday, we concluded our robot themed week by learning how to code a Bee Bot on a homemade grid pattern. The children used their thinking skills to decide where they wanted their Bee Bot to go and how they wanted it to get there. It was so amazing to see their eyes light up when their Bee Bot arrived to the square they programmed it to. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

  • Magnetic Creations

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

When the product first arrived we were on virtual learning, so I was able to demonstrate how much fun they could have when they returned to in-person learning. As soon as the students came back to school, they went straight to the magnetic board center to explore it. Our students are discovering the attraction of magnets through the Create A Path Magnetic Center along with the Magnetic Board. The children are having fun creating different patterns to allow the balls to go through the path to the bottom. They are enjoying time with their friends while they work together to make roller coasters with the magnetic connectors. It is played with daily by all the students.

We appreciate all your generous donations!”

This year our classroom is going to look a little different. Due to COVID, we had to, unfortunately, take some of our favorite classroom furniture out of the room and some of the items were seating. One of the beanbags has a soothing and calming color that will go in my safe zone area for the children to enjoy some time to themselves and become more appealing for them to take breaks if they feel the need to. The remaining beanbags will go around our classroom and help the children be able to sit comfortably in areas of the room like the reading center.
