• Speaking Up for a New Speaker!

  Thank you for supporting a new speaker for my students! This technology will greatly impact my classroom for years to come as students across all grades will be able to use the speaker for warmups, singing, playing instruments, listening and watching media, and creating their own music! Students will also be able to listen, give feedback, and reflect on their own recordings with the help of this speaker! I can't wait to personally hear and have students hear with clarity with this new classroom speaker!”

• Keyboard Stands and Locks to Secure our Instruments!

  Thank you so much for supporting the keyboard stands and locks to secure our instruments. Because of your support, our students will be ready to play on their instruments supported by the keyboard stands for our performances! The locks help secure our instruments in the classroom!

  The students were so excited to see the packages come in and setup their keyboards! Students were also excited to see that their instruments could be secured on the instrument shelves during the day.

  We hope to continue having the necessary materials for our musical growth, performances, and more!”

• Instrument Storage Shelves and Learning Materials for Young Musicians!

  Thank you for supporting instrument storage shelves and learning materials for young musicians! Your donation has supported storage for our instruments in the music classroom so that students have a safe place for their instruments to be during class.

  Students were so excited to see new shelves and space so that they can have more learning space with each other in partnerships and as an ensemble!

  The pencil pouches, notebooks, and sheet protectors are used daily in music class! Students journal about their daily learning experiences, and their sheet music is protected in their binders.

• Cellos, Strings, and All Music Class Things!

  Thank you for supporting new cellos, strings, and all string things for our music program! Since receiving our materials, students have been able to use these materials at school during instruction and at home for practice. Your support removes barriers to equitable music education at our school.

  Students were THRILLED to see and receive the new materials. Students helped each other set up the materials, and students were excited to share with their families.

• Protect Our Violas With New Cases!

  Thank you so much for supporting our classroom with new viola cases. Because of the cases, students are able to bring the instruments home for practice, then back to school in order to rehearse with their fellow musicians.

  Students were so excited to see the brand new cases! The new cases protect the instruments during transport to and from school, and my students are excited to bring their instruments home to practice and share with their families what they are working on in school!

  As we continue learning, my young musicians will continue to bring their instruments throughout New York City in their performances!”

  Thank you so much for your generosity in donating to bass stands, music stands, and rosin for all strings students. 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders are all so appreciative of your donations in helping support their music program and their continued musical growth in their lives.

  When my students first saw the materials, they were so ecstatic to use them - each and every day. As students are able to use the materials that professional musicians use, they are able to take care of their instruments and have the necessary resources for their playing as they take on new challenges in music and in life.

• Violin Bows & Cello Cases for Musicians to Go Places!

  Funded Jan 26, 2018

  Thank you for donating money to our school for new bows and cases for our string ensemble and orchestra! Students started using the new resources immediately as many bows needed to be replaced, and the old cases were falling apart. With the new bows, students are able to play and create a beautiful tone on their instrument with the necessary tools to do so!

  Students were so excited to see the new cases when they arrived in our music room! Now, more students are able to bring their cellos home to practice no matter the weather as the case protects the instrument from rain and snow! So many students are excited to transport their instruments home for their daily practice and have been improving in their playing in class!

• To Play and Sit... on New Cellos & Keyboard Benches!

  Thank you for contributing to our project! Because of your kind generosity, our students have been able to sit on the keyboard benches as pianists learning how to play in the Keyboard Lab! With the addition of cellists to our Orchestra, more students have been able to learn on the new instruments that were purchased as part of this project!

  Students are using the new resources DAILY in music class and excited to learn with such amazing materials! All of them were excited to see the packages arrive and open them as well as share them with their fellow musicians.

  In the future, I cannot wait for them to continue using the instruments and benches and improve their playing. We will keep you posted on our progress and work and please stay tuned to future projects at our classroom page!”

• Rosin, Shoulder Rests, and Strings Instruments to Play in Harmony!

  Thank you so much for donating to our project! Students in Junior Orchestra, Ensemble, and Orchestra classes were so excited to receive these new materials we needed to play on our instruments!

  Students are now able to learn how to use these materials - the rosin for their bows and allowing them to play with their bows on the violins, violas, and cellos; the shoulder rests for playing with the violin and viola up and with correct posture to build strong foundational technique; and the cello to be shared with the many new cellists at our school ready to take on the new instrument!

  I cannot wait to continue making music with all of my students, and we are truly grateful for your kind, generous donations! Thank you for making music a part of my student's lives!”
