This classroom project was brought to life by Center for Disaster Philanthropy and one other donor.

I teach at a very awesome and specialized high school for immigrants and refugees. My students consist of newcomers from all over the world- Myanmar, Iraq, Somalia, El Salvador, Thailand, Uganda, Mexico, and many more places. Students are in grade 9-12 and can stay until they are 21 years old. Many of my students have experienced a disrupted education due to war, civil unrest, migration, displacement, and other factors. My students are very happy to be in America and deeply desire to make the most out of their learning and education.
