  • Folders for Freshmen

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

On behalf of my students, I want to express heartfelt gratitude for your thoughtful donation of folders. Your kindness ensures they have the organization tools they need to succeed. These simple yet essential supplies make a world of difference in their daily learning. Your support not only provides practical help but also boosts their confidence, showing them that their education matters. Knowing that someone they may never meet cares enough to invest in their success is truly inspiring. These folders will be used daily, helping students stay organized, engaged, and motivated. Your generosity reminds us that there are caring individuals who believe in education and our students' potential. Thank you for your support and for making a lasting impact!”

  • Komputers for Kids

    Funded Feb 3, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this computer project. My students were so excited to receive these, as it meant they were able to work on credit recovery during their study hall time without draining their computer battery that they needed for class time. It meant that if they forgot a computer at home, they had one here to borrow to continue to engage in their lessons throughout the day. It meant that students could get and remain on track for graduation-- one less thing for them to worry about.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grant

  • Proud-fiolios for Student Work

    Funded May 9, 2024

Thank you so much for donating the organizational binders and folders for my students. This is going to impact their success in many ways. For one, the folders are going to help keep them organized and prepared for their classes on a daily basis. Good organization is the key to success! The binders are also going to help create a portfolio of work they are proud of to encourage their continued success as they move through the high school. It will also help frame my conversations about grades and attendance, and being on track for graduation. A quick and consistent check in routine with me will aid in thier development.”

  • Focus Fidgets

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thank you so much for the fidget balls and the inspirational stickers to encourage and maintain my student's focus. Instead of cell phones in their hand, these balls provide an alternative that is still interactive but not quite as attention-stealing. The stickers provide reminders about their educational and personal journeys as a reminder to stick with them. It has helped students transition from needing to stay in the office to reengage back into class. It is teaching them coping mechanisms and self regulation skills. Thank you again so much for your support.”

  • Cell Phone Storage

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you very much for donating to my cell phone storage locker. These lockers provide a safe place for my students to store their devices so they can focus on instruction. I have even inspired other teachers to invest in their own locker systems! Without the distraction of their phones, I have seen a direct increase in their grades, collaboration, and a decrease in discipline within my classroom. Students are more present when they are in the classroom and I can see new friendships blossoming.”

  • Graphing Calculators

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for the technology and manipulatives you contributed to my classroom. The compasses were used to create beautiful construction designs that now decorate the bulletin boards of the math hallway. Students can literally see the beauty of mathematics in all its complexity.

Additionally, the graphing calculators have helped my precalculus students immensely in the complex computations we have encountered and will continue to see throughout this year. Although there are apps out there, having the physical calculator will help them on assessments and prepare them for higher education. There should never be a limit to how much technology students experience, and I thank you for providing them with the necessary tools to be successful in school and post-graduate professional life.”

  • Binders for Basics!

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

This project has helped my students remain organized and their work together for upcoming lessons. I see them flipping back to their resources for support in solving problems, and an increase in homework completion. Instead of math work being mixed with every other class' work they are taking, they can find their resources efficiently. I have also extended these supplies to my coworkers and they are so appreciative as well. Especially being back in person after a year of being online, this is helping to sharpen and refocus their student skills and setting them up with tools to be successful students and learners in their everyday lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grant

  • Protection for Tech

    Funded Dec 17, 2020

Thank you so much for the laptop cases and chargers for our new school computers! Not only are they stylish, but they are keeping our new computers looking brand new! The cases were distributed to other teachers in my discipline as well and they also send to you much gratitude! They were so surprised by the generosity shown by the donors that made this project a reality for us. The chargers help keep us fully charged to engage with students on the google meet during virtual instructions. It keeps us powered through the entire day!!”

  • Chalking up a New Board

    Funded Oct 21, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to the whiteboard that now proudly hangs in my classroom. I am able to leave multiple example problems up for students to use and also have groups of students working at multiple different parts of the board to collaborate. This whiteboard has been something I have been looking forward to having for many years, and I am so appreciative for the generosity of my family and friends and other donors for realizing that dream. It means more than I could ever express in words. It will have a lasting impact on all students for the rest of my career. Many Many MANY thanks!!”

  • Compasses Come Full Circle

    Funded Jan 22, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to these compasses. I know my students will enjoy using them to create beautiful designs that decorate our classroom. These tools teach them skills they may need in their future profession, but it also allows them to unlock their creative side to really see the beauty of mathematics. Your support cannot be appreciated enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grant

Desmos, Geometers Sketchpad and GeoGebra are all web-based interactive websites that my students can utilize to enhance their learning of proofs, polygons and mathematics overall. There are not enough Chromebook carts for teachers in my school, so I would like to have a few in my classroom to incorporate in group-tasks. Pencil and paper are not what supplies our students need to become twenty-first-century learners. Chromebooks will allow my students to research, create products and investigate the theorems and postulates traditionally memorized in geometry curriculum. Because they will have the opportunity to grapple with these concepts in new ways, they will have a better appreciation for their meaning. Previously, my students have been disengaged in routine classroom tasks. Students will refuse to participate or only complete the first 10 minutes worth if they lose interest in the skill-drill. Worksheets and paper activities have lost their zeal. As twenty-first century learners, they are extremely interested in utilizing the Internet to explore connections of geometry to their worlds. With the availability of a few Chromebooks, I can create station activities where students have an opportunity to re-engage with the material using dynamic geometry software, research connections to their lives or play interactive application games.
