I am one of 3 visual arts teachers at Franklin High School. I teach Art Survey and Sculpture and view my role as introducing students to a wide variety of art media and artmaking techniques. I teach a wide range of students in grades 9-12 including multilingual English language learners, students with high needs, students who are seasoned artists and students who have never picked up a paint brush before. My classes are both introductory in nature and meant to foster and love of art in all students. My school and classes are majority POC and majority students from low-income households. Therefore, I try to provide all supplies and materials without passing any costs on to students or families.
